Can we expect a trade?

G man doesn't seem like the type to have value right in front of him and not be able to use it to its full potential. Case in point .. Benjamin.. The guy needs time to get up to speed. Nothing wrong with that we have a qb that can move and extend plays. But simply put.. We need oline help. We have 2 to caliber de's on this team.. And drafted another.. In the mean time we have a patch further secondary and Byron bell starting.. Something is wrong with this picture. Gettleman has something up his sleeve.. I believe there is a trade coming.. But who? Man for man with dwill? (we drafted a brawler that ran for 1700 years with 9 games over 100 and still have barner as well) or could it be the kraken for a starting olineman and yet another upside secondary player.. Something is coming.. I just can't put my finger on it.

We have multiple players that with a trade instantly make another teams offense or defense much better but don't hurt us very much. Suffice to say the positions we have the best players at we also have a good amount of depth. I can't see gman not using that leverage to protect his franchise qb. If nothing else to get someone in thats young that can grow into his position starting as a rotator

Last night I was thinking trading DeAngelo to Tennessee straight up for Roos. It would allow Sankey to be mentored by a great vet and we shore up the OL, win win

I don't see a trade coming, but at this point, I would trade DeAngelo and Stewart for 7th rounders just to dump their contracts.

Trading them still wouldn't help our cap. Just comes down to when to start cutting them

That isn't a win win. Tenn would be a laughing stock if they did that

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
