We didn't do Cam any favors, and if this is it we're gonna have some problems

Richardson and Hurst weren't even drafted. Turner was a 3rd round talent that went before our pick in the third round. Same with Moses. Like many, I was hoping a left tackle would fall to us but it just didn't happen. No one we drafted was going to start over Bell or Chandler at LT and most of those guys would have made bad RTs.

The pick I disagreed with was not drafting Fleming in the fourth. We need a RT and he seemed to fit the bill. But we worked him out so it's not like we didn't know about him. Our staff must have felt he wasn't a very good prospect - most Stanford OTs haven't lived up to their billing in recent years so who knows.

And I'm not sure why everyone is ignoring Tavares king. He was a fifth round pick we stole from the Broncos and might as well be viewed as being part of this draft class. Maybe Gettleman didn't feel some of those late round receivers were more deserving of a spot on our roster than King. After all, they've worked with him (and McNutt) and have seen them in practice - I take the front office not drafting a second receiver as a sign of confidence in those guys.

Lastly, drafting Ealy in the second a year ahead of when he will start (after CJ or Kraken are cut) will allow us to use that 2015 first rounder on another elite WR or LT for Cam.

The problem is most of you guys expect way too much from the draft. You think 3 or 4 picks are plug and play them guys which isn't really realistic. If you look at history you can expect most first round picks to start but sometimes you get unlucky and bust out. Then in the 2nd round you are either going to get a decent starter half the time or bust out. Then in the 3rd your getting into the range where most will not make it and you have to get really lucky to get someone good. After that your lucky to even get someone who can make the roster.

So to sum it up. You should only expect to get 1 or 2 guys out of the draft to really help your starting team. Anything else is a bonus.

That is the reason you draft for value because most of the guys aren't going to make it into your roster.

Big time talent potential at WR

A first round talent DE in the 2nd

A bulldozer G to help beef up the interior of the line

That right there makes our draft a success IMO

Our DLine is going to freaking disgusting. CJ. Hardy. Star. KK. Ealy. Cole. And the rotational DE's. Yes yes yes yes!!

...Once we get out from under the shtty contracts from the Hurney era and clear up  the dead money mess will we see the awesomeness and force that is Dave Gettleman...

You know what's really getting tired? Bitches bitching about what they perceive as "the sky is falling" when in reality it's just someone doesn't agree with you. Maybe it's just me, maybe it's because we live in the Carolina's and they're too many dumb fug christian republicans that turn everything into "faith", but this is getting fuging old.

No wonder everyone laughs at this website, it's poo. A bunch of old fags winking at each other and acting like they're somehow more intelligent for towing the company line.

I said it once and ill say it again. Im not quite sure I agree with the whole draft BPA over need mindset. Ok so we get Ealy, great. Hes a

BPA. The problem is, hes not seeing the field anytime soon. Sure hes "leverage" but so what? We still have a oline in shambles.

Say im shopping for a car, Im a family man with three kids. I have the choice of a SUV or a porsche. Well using my BCA strategy (best car avaliable) im getting the porsche because BCA overrides all! Nevermind the fact I bought a 2 seater coupe when I have a wife and three kids that still dont have anywehre sit.

So we got our porsche in Ealy. Unfortunatley Cam is the kid left out in the cold because there isnt enough room for him in my porsche.

Porsche makes an SUV now, so there's that. Not quite sure what my point is, just throwing that out there.

If he does see the field it will be very limited. People that think CJ and Hardy are now suddenly endangered species because of a 2nd round unproven rookie are delusional.

Wes Horton 174 snaps

Mario Addison 269 snaps, 2 starts, played in every game

Frank Alexander 251 snaps, 2 starts

He will see the field plenty

Also there are some things that you can't change. A set of parameters in which you come into and you have to play within those rules.

The reality is the Cap is terrible. Overpaid guys that either got hurt or dont live up to their value leaves us with a ton of dead/wasted money. You can't pay the free agent tackle or WR without seriously hurting another position.

You have to keep that defense together which was the number 1 priority. It gives us a chance to stay in the game no matter who we play. Unfortunately the bank has run dry by keeping the front 7 together.

I don't think anyone is saying Hardy or CJ will be replaced this year. But, fact is either Hardy or CJ will not be a Panther in 2015. It's inevitable. Not by choice. It's out of necessity. Cam and Luke have contracts coming up. Hard decisions need to be made, and Gettleman has no problem making them.

Many players don't like Gettleman because of that, but he was brought in to do a job - clean up Hurney's mess. It started this year because next year his plan will be in full effect. His hands were tied last season. Not so much next season. And even less in 2016.

You know what id love to see. Is to see a comparison of teams that draft on need and teams that go BPA and just see which team has more success, go back the last five seasons and compare. I think someone brought up that the Ravens and Steelers always draft need over BPA and despite bumpy past season, both have been consistent contenders
