Andre Johnson is not happy

Johnson said he has no plans right now to participate in organized team activities or the Texans' mandatory minicamp in June. He added that he has not asked for a trade.

Johnson, selected by the Texans in the first round of the 2003 draft, is the franchise's all-time leading receiver with 927 receptions for 12,661 yards and 61 touchdowns in 11 seasons.

Not everyone who's unhappy with their situation is a distraction. The guy put some work in the league for over 10 years without saying anything. Nothing wrong with wanting to win a superbowl. If he lands here we can be instant contender.

I see your point, but there's really nothing else you can call what he is doing right now anything other than a distraction for his team.

We just ran an aging WR many claimed was a distraction out of town because he made too much money.

Now we should bring in another aging WR who is becoming a distraction for his team?

Andre Johnson was 4th in the NFL in catches last season at 109 while playing with terrible QBs on the worst team in the NFL.

Steve Smith was mediocre and couldn't muster 70 yards in a game while playing on a 12-4 team with an elite QB.

Johnson also wouldn't make nearly add much if he were to be traded here and restructure. Smith was gonna be owed a truckload.

Piss poor comparison. As usual.

Please spare me your vitriol for Steve Smith.

Andre Johnson turns 33 in July, we've already got two aging WR's, we need young playmakers.

    • This is the Saints current QB room, a 2nd round rookie and former 4th and 5th round QBs.  Pretty sad when Rattler is your best option even though Shough is tops of their depth chart for right now. Dude would have been a day 3 guy in the 2024 QB class right there with Rattler.  A paper thin QB class pushed Shough to a day 2 pick.  Expect them to sign a veteran before training camp.
    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
