WARNING: This is going to be a little bit out there.  Understand that I have always wanted to see a running team and an exciting style of basketball in Charlotte for the fans.  My ideal team would have a Suns running offense from the nash and amare days combined with a Denver Nuggets defense from a couple years ago when they beat the other Hornets in the playoffs by like 60 one game.

Trade 1: Al Jefferson for Ibaka and Reggie Jackson

We get a young super talented defenseive player in Ibaka that fits well with Biz and Zeller and a very talented young guard.  The front line of Biz, Ibaka and MKG will be the best defensive front line in the league for years.  We have elite shotblockers at the 4 and 5 plus an elite defender on the wing.  Ibaka shoots well enough to space the floor in addition to leading the league in blocks the last few years.

Trade 2: Port pick (24th overal) to Boston for Nets 2016 unprotected pick and Nets 2018 unprotected pick

Out as head coach: Clifford

In as new head coach: Mike D

Extend Kemba 4 years 36 mil (9 per year) and Biz 4 years 22 mil (5.5 per year)

Only use cap space to sign one year deals with free agents leaving room for one Max player (Durrant) in the summer of 2016.

Lineup

Kemba/Reggie Jackson

Henderson/G Neil

MKG/CDR/Taylor

Ibaka/McBob

Biz/Zeller

Picks moving forward

2015 Det #1 top 2 protected plus our own pick

2016 Nets #1 unprotected plus our own pick

2017 our pick

2018 Nets #1 unprotected plus our own pick

saw this by another poster on another board.. i went from "no" -----> "omg, wth.." -----> "i have to stop reading this, NOW!" -----> "i can't stop reading this, this is an amazing train wreck"

    • Everyone says AT was old and slow but the one thing he could do consistently was get separation. That takes skill and it's been a huge issue in our WR for years. And while Moore may be a great locker room guy and our WR coach may be a 12 year vet, he's not playing in the game. Vets like AT do what they do because they can see things others don't and exploit it. The DB interview I mentioned before was with Stephon Gilmore after his DPOY season. He was pulling the younger DBs aside showing them things you wouldn't even think you'd be able to tell from the way the receiver was standing.  Seeing what a DB or LB is biting on in game that can give you that half step advantage is huge and we don't have that experience in our WR group right now and I think it could end up hurting us. None of our receivers have lined up against NFL corners successfully on a regular basis. Having someone that can walk over and give you a tip to get a half yard separation can be a difference maker.
    • We only fielded about 4 NFL calibre players on that unit last year.
    • only 1 QB in the history of mankind has managed a winning record with his opportunities in the David Tepper era.    Bring in PJ.   He has NFL tools.  He will at least be entertaining if called upon.  How is that not better than Andy.  *PJ Walker bandwagon is back up now that it is....not...time for for the percolator.
