McBuckets and TJ Warren both working out for team Saturday

If TJ gets that jumper going he is going to be a beast. I would not mind taking him at 9.

I'm a State guy but I wouldn't take TJ at 9. His outside shot is too inconsistent at the moment and a lot if his "garbage" baskets aren't going to come as easy in the league.

But with that said if he's there at 24 then they should run to the podium with the card with his name on it.

Warren could be the pick at #24. I'd take him at #9 if it means we don't take McDerp

Warren's mid range game is just as good as McDermott's (he showed that at the workout), his perimeter game is not very good, below average in my opinion.

TJ Warren's game is more like Morrison than McDermott's.  Streaky perimeter shooter, but makes a living in mid-range and driving to the basket and shooting floaters in traffic.  That is how Morrison made his living at Gonzaga.

 

Having said that I think TJW will be much better than Morrison in the NBA, not that that is saying much.  But I am a believer in TJW

I realize we all like to poo on Adam Morrison, but he was actually well on his way to being a productive NBA player before he blew out his knee, missed an entire season, and lost most of his quickness (and he didnt start out with much)

 

I mean he wasnt going to be an all-star or anything, but he could have been the first or second guy off the bench

Most forget his first season wasn't all that bad production wise, his knee going out ruined his career. Just no one knew it at the time and expected him to play similar with a better FG% then he did as a rookie and it never happened.

I don't think he will fall that far, but if he did I would take him in a heart beat at #24.  I would pull the old Panthers 2 seconds and the pick is in deals.

 

I wouldn't mind Early at #24 either if we go G or PF at #9

Warren doesn't hesitate to drive to the basket. He's an explosive and physical player. I have a hard time seeing him not being at least a productive player. Him and McDermott would be two safe picks.

I don't think they'd take both McDermott and Warren since they play the same position.  Maybe something like:

 

9 - Stauskas

24 - Warren

 

or

 

9 - McDermott

24 - Hairston

 

Some combination of 2/3.  Like I said in another thread, as long as we get shooters, I'll be happy.  We gotta get some more scoring out there to help Big Al.
