Would anybody be interested in a forum mock draft?

You'd have to be a regular visitor of the forum (check it at least a couple of times a day so we wouldn't be waiting 2-3 days for your pick) but it'd be something to do to kill time between now and the draft.  Obviously the smaller the number of drafters we have, the more teams each drafter would need to choose.  You also need to be at least semi-realistic, no taking Sean May with the #1 pick or anything.  We'd probably want at least 7-10 playing, so it wasn't the same couple of guys making all the picks.

We can just do the first round, unless there's enough interest to do the second round.

Before we start picking teams, let's just make sure there's enough interest.  Anybody wanna do this?  We'll let people "sign up" until tomorrow and then see how many we've got and if it'd be worth doing.

First come, first served.

I call Hornets.

If we can get 20 people we could make it work, a few people that only have one pick could just double up and take another team.

I do think doing the second round would be pretty fun just to see who people take.

I would love to get 20. You think we can make that happen?

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
