Cam ranked smack dab in the middle of QBs according to some league insiders

top dawg

Recommended Posts

Through their first 2 years in the league:

Cam: 29 INTs

Luck: 27 INTs

Cam: 1 INT every 34 passes

Luck: 1 INT every 44 passes

Luck threw 195 MORE passes, and still had less INTs than Cam.

% of passes intercepted last year:

Cam: 2.7% (20th best in the league)

Luck: 1.6% (6th best in the league)

Sorry to let actual facts and reality get in the way of your incorrect assumptions. I hate when that happens.

Did I stumble into the colts forum by mistake? Or did you wander onto the panthers forum by mistake?

The problem is you're assuming "interception machine" refers to total interceptions thrown over the course of a season or career.  When the poster you quoted said "interception machine," he probably was referring to Luck's tendency to throw enough INTs to take his team out of a game.

For example:

Number of 3+ int games Luck has had since entering into the league: 6 (including 2 in the playoffs lololol)

Number of 3+ int games Newton has had since entering into the league: 5 (Not to mention, this is Newton's 3 seasons to Luck's 2).

Actually...Luck has the most 3+ INT games (playoffs included) in his first 2 seasons of any player...EVER.  Ahead of  #2 Mark Sanchez!

That's what INT machine means.

(Yes I know that's a college game but GL finding recent NFL highlights on youtube)

It's ok Andrew....just go home and make some more drawings on an architecture board or whatever the fug it is you do that makes sportsmedia think you're a genius.

You can argue about what the original poster actually meant by INT machine but that's beside the point.  Luck has gotten his team into serious trouble multiple times in his first 2 years.

Andrew Luck to me is a The Golden Calf of Bristol but with improved passing skills. His stats are all over the place but yet he is hailed as the 2nd coming. The dude is a interception machine

That is a ridiculous statement. It is like some have to degrade Luck to support their argument of Cam. Cam's Body of work speaks for itself. Who cares what what these so called league insiders think?

Do you believe that Luck is the second coming of Peyton Manning and that everything the media says about him,  is true?

If you do,   then more power to you.   Not everyone does.       A lot of individuals that don't agree with all the Luck hype,  aren't calling it out and complaining for the sake of trying to tear him down in an effort to lift Cam.

At this moment,  Luck is one of the most overrated players in the game.    Football fans can't really look anywhere without hearing about how this guy is elite,  a qb that is nearly already on Peyton's level.

If he was what they say he is........... No one would mind the hype.   No one really questions Brees, Brady, Rodgers or Peyton.  Those are the top 4 of the game.    Luck doesn't have the numbers though.     He is a good qb,  but is currently living off his pre-draft hype of being the greatest prospect since Elway.         Otherwise,  not sure how someone with a career 81.5 qb rating and a 57% completion is considered among the top 5..

Wilson is probably the best of the new generation of qbs.   He is a low round draft pick though,  so he didn't have the pre-draft hype to propel his status.  The guy is the second best throw-on-the-run qb in the league.  Deadly accuracy on the move,  only behind Rodgers.  The guy makes excellent decisions.

I am not a Luck homer but to compare him to The Golden Calf of Bristol  is ridiculous. When the name Luck come up some of you act like he boned your girlfriend.

So are you a Panthers fan, or a Colts fan?

Did I stumble into the colts forum by mistake? Or did you wander onto the panthers forum by mistake?

Im sorry, I have this weird thing where I use real life stats and logic when forming an opinion. Strange right? But we can all go back to 'magical fairy-tale pretend time' now, where we claim every QB not named Cam Newton is either "terrible" or "overrated".

Include the playoffs

Ok.... With all their playoff games:

Cam: 1 INT every 30 passes

Luck: 1 INT every 38 passes

Any more math you want me to do for you to help disprove your own point?

Again, if you 14 year old girls took emotion out of it, and decided to research actual facts before you spoke, you would come of much more intelligent and may even be right on occasion

I don't mind Luck,  for what he is.   He's a good qb.          Just not as good as some experts would have us believe.

The legend of Timmy T. was one of pure media created hype.              The legend of Luck is becoming similar to that.    Not comparing their playing ability,  but the fact that some fans and experts were/are so desperate to make them better than they were/are.

hey rko speaking of math-

do you still believe this:

1) theres 0 math in there. Nice failed attempt at a segue.

2) yes, clearly me making fun of huddler's emotional reactions 24-7 should be studied as gospel and taken word for word. Nope, no exageration there. Just like in my last post where i claimed most people here act like 14 yr old girls. Nope, no sarcasm at all :)

    • I thought he started to develop good chemistry with Coker over the last half of the season.
    • To put it in perspective, this is a deep ball thrower. Notice how the efficiency basically has minimal drop off regardless of range. This is Bryce Young The other QB is Joe Burrow.
    • It really isn't though If you were to go out to a bar every week of the season, even to just watch one batch of games, i.e. just the 1 pm or just the 4 pm, and spent only $30 a week, you're looking at $540 bucks, $510 if you're just going for the 17 weeks your team is playing, assuming no national games. Also, from past experience, it's hard to spend only 30 bucks if you're at a bar for 3+ hours to watch the game.  Even just a small appetizer, a meal, and say 2 beers was going to run you $40ish, and that was back in 2019 when I used to go to BWW to watch all our games pre the Covid year when I just started finding streams and stuck with that until YouTube got the package from DirecTV. At $450 for a full season, to be able to watch every game, to be able to make your own quad box, to be able to switch between the sound for any game (at a bar in Michigan, I would never get to hear the commentary on our games)... It's really not a bad deal, and that's if you're only watching your team's games.  If you're a fantasy football junkie like myself, then it's a flat out steal, as depending on your TV set up, you can get every game from your fantasy matchup playing.  I do a projector with a quad box on it, a local game on the TV, and then if needed, I can put another game on my laptop and another on my phone.
