who is the best team in the east?

I think Cleveland and Chicago (if healthy) are the two favorites.  Then Charlotte, Indiana, Miami, Washington, and Toronto in some order.  But you never know, if something happens and Cleveland doesn't gel or Chicago stays injured, I think the Hornets have a great shot for a deep playoff run.

I respect LeBron but is he really enough to take the 10th ranked team in the east to the ECF? I think Chicago and Charlotte as the top teams and the rest is way unpredictable at this point.

Considering he just torpedoed the best team by leaving and they added the #1 overall pick, I'd say they are really close to being tops.

I think we solidly start the season as contenders to make the playoffs. Which hasn't happened in a long, long time. Feels pretty great.

Oh I agree they will be 5-7th next year, maybe 4th but I don't seem them being able to break top 3 this season.

The season after they'll be top 3 easy but this coming up season I just don't see it. Maybe if they had known he was coming and kind of built a team ready for him to take control of but that's not what happened.

Cleveland is not that good. Y'all are overestimating LeBron. He's the best player in the world but he isn't god. Cleveland will struggle to lock up a top 4 seed next year. They are way too young & only have one star. Irving is overrated, and injury prone.

Depending on Rose's health & the Boozer situation, Charlotte could become the favorites. Especially if Walker/Stephenson Jefferson gel together.

How is Irving overrated? Facts please.

I believe if we can get Boozer we could be the top team in the East. If Vonleh or Zeller can put it up good numbers then we will be very good. MKG is going to improve and that will really help. I think right now the Bulls are the number one team as long as Rose is healthy. If Boozer signs with Miami then they could be a top team as well. I think Indiana could be a top team if they trade for Lance's replacement.

If Anthony Bennett can play as well as he has in the summer league then I see Cleveland being a top 3 team in the east.

Right now I'm trying not to be a homer but I really think the Hornets are going to be great.

    • Well there goes the bullied victim spiel.
    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
