fivethirtyeight: How good is Andrew Luck? (and Cam Newton)

Cary Kollins

Recommended Posts

There are many factors, supporting cast included, which make it difficult to isolate and statistically quantify individual qb performance. 538 is a statistics site, originally for politics then baseball, so this is what he's saying.

Nate silver is literally one of the smartest sports and stat minds in the world. His political predictions are almost perfect, and he's made some jaw dropping sports predictions, famously predicting a Tampa bay rays World Series run before the season started.

Calling him stupid makes you look like the drooling simian you are.

If the argument was good then I wouldnt talk poo. It is what it is. What do you want me to say?

Admit you can't judge an argument you're clearly too stupid to understand.

LOL, yeah I'm wondering if they noticed we had the worst WR corps in all of football for Cam's entire career this far, he's had among THE WORST OLs each year (as a unit), and has not had his entire RB unit available to him either?

ehh, I'll just ignore all of that, as well as that other HUGE elephant in the room.

OH, didn't you get the memo: The Panthers had both all world receivers and running backs last year, and since Cam got to Carolina!! :startle:

This guy was clearly pointing out that they're trying to sneak Luck up to the front of the line where he doesn't belong. IMO they treat Cam like he has to be perfect, like HE was s'pose to be the best QB prospect in 30 years. Meanwhile Luck is treated like they once said his skill set wouldn't translate to the pro level but now proved everyone wrong and he's now a budding star. It's really backwards af when you think about it. Keep Pounding, Yes we Cam and all that good shyt!

Carolina

New Orleans

Atlanta

Tampa bay

Indy

Houston

Tennessee

Jacksonville

One of these divisions is not like the other, one of these divisions just doesn't belong.

Wonder who the real stat padder is? Six games against bottom five teams last year.

Bro it depends on so many more factors. The day of the game (when where, weather etc), injuries (both teams injuries, was the star on defense he was playing out or not? play the whole game?), players on both teams of every team they played in the season (they arent playing identical schedules), it depends on the offense philosphy, it depends on the defense philosophy.

Im gonna stop there cause this guy is so far out of whack that about covers my point. This is nonsense

But, the supporting cast around the play is on of the major factors.  I don't think he was saying it was the only factor.

You are correct to say that many more factors play into it though
