Bersin vs Godfrey

Really nice route by Bersin. Notice the hand slap and planting the foot behind Godfrey, causing a slight stumble and separation. It was all over at that point. Follows through with the catch.

These small improvements have been shown by Bersin all camp long.

So far, every gif we've seen of Godfrey in coverage is him getting burnt like toast.  Is that a fairly accurate representation or just what's been caught on camera?

Godfrey struggles a great deal one on one in drills. I suspect we will see him in zone a lot, where he can act a little more like a safety and cover an area instead of a player.

Sure seems like it.  I think he will get better though, still recovering from a tough injury.  Or just as likely get moved back to safety with the emergence of Bene and injuries at the safety spots.

Bersin will either make the team or be cut, he isn't eligible for PS anymore is he?  Sounds like he is next to a lock to make it.

Every person who I've seen that has watched training camp has said Bersin is a virtual lock to make the team. He would have to fug up royally for it not to happen.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
