There is no difference in game plan for the Panthers if Cam or DA is playing.

 

Not an overall game plan but it restricts a lot of stuff in our playbook.  Not going read-option 4-6 times isn't detrimental so I still prefer DA over Webb.  Webb has shown some decisiveness though this preseason.  I really like what I've seen regardless of the competition.

He is more athletic than you are giving him credit for. He is fast enough to keep defenses honest. He is no cam, but he is no Peyton either.

For me it is really which of the two shows more upside and ability to do everything we run.  DA is okay for a backup but Webb really is Cam light.  Given he gets very little time practicing with the 1s or 2s, he looks much better than he should really.

We don't run the offense that Manning or Brady run so that is irrelevant. This isn't about which quarterback is better in any kind of offense but which guy is going to run the whole playbook and has the most upside in our offense with our players..  My opinion is that Webb does that.  If we keep all three then fine but if we had to pick, Anderson is the safe pick but Webb is more athletic and can run all the plays Cam can run.

What game are you watching?  He has looked good all night and really as good or better than Anderson in other preseason games. The run was just icing on the cake to punctuate my point..
