The new statue, which sits outside Gate A of the Raven's M&T Bank Stadium, depicts Lewis in the middle of his famous pregame scream. It is located side by side with the Johnny Unitas statue, which was moved to make room for the Ray Lewis statue (now Unitas is on left, Lewis on right). Both statues were made by the same artist

Johnny Unitas played for the Baltimore Colts 1956-1972

The Colts' last seaaon in Baltimore was 1983, then they moved to Indianapolis

The Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore in 1996, and were renamed the Ravens. The first two seasons in Baltimore, the Ravens played in the same stadium that Johnny Unitas and the Baltimore Colts did (1996 and 1997). Since then, that stadium was unoccupied and demolished over a ten-month period beginning in 2001

In 1998, the Ravens began playing in their current stadium which is 5 miles away from where the old stadium was. The new stadium was built from 1996-1998.

Ed Reed doesn't get a statue (at least not yet) because he didn't start playing there until 2002, while Lewis had been there since 1996 (Reed was drafted #24 overall, Lewis #26 overall) and Lewis won two Super Bowls to one for Reed and Lewis was twice NFL DPOY, Reed once. They both played for Baltimore until 2012, when they won their only Super Bowl together

Ray Lewis before Ed Reed arrived, 1996-2001:

-5x Pro Bowl (97, 98, 99, 00, 01)

-5x All Pro (2ndT 97; 1stT 98, 99, 00, 01)

-1x NFL DPOY (00)

-1x Super Bowl MVP (00)

Ed Reed and Ray Lewis Together, 2002-2012:

LEWIS

-8x Pro Bowl (03-04, 06-11)

-5x All Pro (1stT 03, 04, 08, 09; 2ndT 10)

-1x NFL DPOY (03)

REED

-9x Pro Bowl (03-04, 06-12)

-8x All Pro (1stT 03-04, 06-08, 10; 2ndT 09, 11)

-1x NFL DPOY (04)

    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
    • Hoping someone tells us Bussi was in the starter's crease for the morning skate. Otherwise, place your 1st shot- 1st goal bets! Any closer to a deal that could land a 2C in Trocheck or Brayden Schenn? Or land a winger in Alex Tuch or reach for Jordan Kyrou?
