Get ready to see Anderson start

Ok we lose this game, then later in the season we are fighting for a playoff spot and end up not getting in because we decided not to play Cam today, we'll see how many still think sitting Cam was a good idea.

Next week is the Lions. Sit him then. For division games, if you can walk, you play.

True, but would you want to risk our franchise qbs long term health? Say he did start and get a season ending injury. What then? yeah hinesight is 20/20 and you can look back and say, "welp cam shouldn't have played".

Say this is week 17 and we need this division win to get in the playoffs. Do you start him? Your choice then should be your choice now. You would run the risk of putting him on IR right before the playoffs then too. These games determine the brackets.

I don't like not playing your starting QB against a divisional opponent. I understand the reasons why here...but we don't have the luxury, in this division, to concede a loss. I like DA, but I don't see him leading us to a win today. If we win, it'll be because our gameplan was to play lights out defense and run the football hard.

If we rely on DA to win this for us, we're fuged. C'mon OL and RBs. You gotta carry this offense. DA can make the throws and run the play-action, but I don't like the thought of him throwing 28 times today.

The brightside is, DA could start for half the teams in the league. He is the best backup out there... that's comforting.

The downside is, HE IS NOT CAM. Our offense becomes extremely limited and less dynamic obviously, without Cam. What scares me is how dysfunctional our offense was last year, so many time Cam bailed us out from horrible playcalls and a poor supporting cast. Cam essentially has been the entire offense.

I'm hoping some of the chemistry we saw from DA with KB in the preseason carries over today, Stew continues to look incredible running the rock, AND Cam heals quickly.

No your choice then and now are way different. If you start him now your talking about adding 16 other games plus more if we make the playoffs. If this was week 17, he'd only have to fight for one game at the very least.

    • I have already said I am out on Bryce so let’s not even bring him up here. I think XL sucks even if he were to have Mahomes throwing to him.   This rep alone is enough to see he doesn’t have what it takes to be a regular starter in the NFL. At least try to make the catch you idiot
    • Way back in my younger days as a reporter, I had to go and cover a D.A.R.E. graduation event at a local school. They had two NASCAR racing teams there for the kids to meet. Teams sponsored by two different beer companies, one of which had just won the Winston Cup (wow, really back in the day, and a cigarette brand if you didn't know).  The kids were having a ball and were in awe of the drivers and crew members, they loved seeing the cars. I leaned over to the DARE officer from the Sheriff's Department and said, "You do realize that you told these kids to swear they'd never drink or smoke or use drugs and look who sponsors all this." The look of realization just washed across his face and he glanced side-eyed back at me and said, "Well, poo." Advertising and marketing are so fuging pervasive in everything we do that the public really doesn't stand a chance anymore. And gambling is doing a full on press for this generation and the next.  Sports gambling has always existed and always will, but this industrialized one is more than parasitic, it's viral. I'm not sure if the patient will survive it, but if it does, there will be a mighty shock to the system before it lets go.
    • I've heard the rumors Kyler Murray ends up on an East Coast team next year. Young for Murray straight up, who says no?
