Dude can blitz and flesh bomb the line of scrimmage.

From the time he entered the league until now he has been one of the top secondary offenders league wide guilty of flopping around missing tackles.

I don't know the coverage assignments. Funny how Godfrey seems to be the only one consistently screwed by his team though....

How did i miss this thread, props to op I've been saying this since yesterday people overreact on how bad godfrey is, The touchdown came off of cover two, if you look at the highlight V jax is in the middle where Godfrey is covering while the other guy runs free........he's a scapegoat, when something goes wrong he's the first to get blamed and the last to get credit if something is done right.

Lets go through the huddle checklist:

 

Can we blame Bryon Bell? Nope.  But I will say if he gives up a sack then he is back in the worst LT in football conversation.

Dwill?  Nope . not today.  However if Stewart plays better next week I will still insist he is the 3rd or 4th best running back on the team.

Shula?  hmm.. I really want to but can't because Cam didn't play.  There is always next week. Plus if we don't score at least 35 a game we are wasting our potential.

Godfrey?  I saw a touchdown and he was in the picture.  Yeah, Yeah lets go Godfrey.  I'm going to forget the good plays he made and focus on the bad.  Hmm.. Even RR is saying TD wasn't his fault............hmmm... well I'm not wrong I'm blaming him because of stuff 2 years ago.

LOL at a missed BUMP being the reason that the closest person to the receiver was the jort-wearing dude in the 5th row.  Godfrey's blame is diminished insofar as football is a team sport by nature, but he's still the one everyone looked at in that situation.

OK fine, but explain why we have to go through this song and dance so often with the same player?  It seems every blown coverage has Godfrey somewhere in the picture.  It may not all be his fault but we can all agree that he isn't good enough to make up for any type of on-field mistake.

 

Excellent.  Its like last year with the communication in the Seahawks game.  Didn't happen with Harper or Decoud the whole damn game.
