I think from a PR standpoint they deactivate for a game or a few games, the company line can be formed that although we believe Hardy should be given due process, the team takes domestic violence seriously.  I think it will be enough to get out of  the news cycle.

The Panthers just put up one of the best defensive performances they have had in several years without Hardy.

I don't care if he plays or not.

I'm firmly aboard the A-Train... addison that is.

 

We lacked pressure in the first half of the game and they were moving the ball. Once we had a lead we were able to get more pressure. 

 

From a football stand point we are better with him on the field. No one should doubt that.

Agree with this.  No way they risk the distraction of a nationally televised primetime game by playing Hardy.  I think he's back Week 4.  

 

Every individual situation is different.  Hardy has been convicted by a judge whereas Peterson has only been indicted.  So whereas Hardy is kind of in a "guilty until proven innocent" position in the eyes of the media, Peterson still has some time until his date in court and before people pass judgement.  Still a lot of facts to surface in his case.

Hardy hadn't been charged with anything when they placed the tag on him.  DG sure did have a backup plan in place though.  They've got Addison, Horton, Alexander and drafted Ealy.  It's not like they're short on pass-rushers and with the Panthers defensive philosophy they won't ever be.

So to be clear are you suggesting that Mario is as good as Hardy? And you're basing this off one game. 

 

I'm all for you wanting to bench him because of his domestic abuse issues ( i can get that) but lets not get crazy and say we are a better team without him and that we wouldn't benefit from having him on the field.

I wouldn't mind this either even though I don't think he should even be suspended. But if we suspend him would the Lions game count?

Lions don't run that balanced off an attack though. So that and the backup's backup RT he faced did all play into Addison's day.

I am fine with Addison on any 3rd and long play or pass heavy scenarios.

Still remains a question of we can get it done on early downs IMO. Addison isn't used there and a more well rounded attack could still present questions
