I think you are comparing his contract to the wrong guy, I think he will want a Kapernick type deal.

Just my opinion...

I think Dalton's deal is more player friendly while Kaepernick's deal is more franchise friendly. I'm assuming Cam will want a more Dalton deal but if he wants more money I could see him go for a Kaepernick deal.

Lol I find it funny how people here acting like their paying money out of their own pocket for Cams contract.  Sit your ass down, do you not remember our offense before we had Cam.  I'll be the first to say Cam isn't the best quarterback in the league but the excitement I get waiting for Sunday to come by and to see what Cam is capable off is beyond belief.  PAY DA MAN!!!

I can only name 4 QB's that I can say that are better than Cam.

P.Manning

Brady

Rodgers

Brees

You can put Cam up against any other QB and you could have a legit debate about who's better.

i think you also need to put Rivers up there. Rivers in incredible. And maybe would put Roethlisberger up there since he won two Super Bowls. After that I think Cam and Luck are right there. We have a top 10 QB.

By that logic Trent Dilfer is better than Cam. They may have better stats throwing the ball but Cam has a ton more rushing yards. Both Ben and Wilson were game managers during their Super Bowl runs. As of now Cam is asked to do a lot more in our offense than they had too.

Not really. Dilfer's career qb rating is 70.2

Pretty shitty.

Players regress and improve all the time.

If Dilfer had already won a superbowl and just finished a year or more ahead of Cam in qb rating and PFF ratings then yes RIGHT THEN / NOW Dilfer is better than Cam.

Cam has been a game manager since Chud left. He is asked to go out there and not make mistakes and maybe break off a big run or two.

We lean heavily on our D and run game.

Right now, Wilson and Ben are better than Cam.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
