not chicken little about the LB's it is the secondary that is exposed as the weakest link. they are not good. This goes back to the 49er playoff game once they neutralized the front 7 it was over.

The ONLY DB on this years roster that played meaningful minutes in that game is White. Not sure you can compare this years unit with last years. Well...you can.

Our DBs have played rather well this year. I know you don't want to hear that. We have one bad game under our belt. The sky is not falling yet. It is too early to call this years unit a bust.

Have we lost a game bc of them? WR and DBS are better than last year....yet that is all everyone talked about heading into the year.

OL play is our weakest link. Much more so than the secondary. That doesn't mean the DBs are impressive.....but our OL is garbage and impacts more

"the Oline is fine."

I would be glad to have them play well and hear about it but the reality is they are not good.

im a panther fan. steve smith is a big enough fan of himself that he doesnt need me defending his egotistical antics anymore.

we cut him because his attitude was detrimental to our team. in other words, he basically ran himself out of town when we had no other wr options, all because he refused to check himself and not be a dickhead. we are still paying the guy $5 million this year and he isn't even playing for us...to me, that wreaks of FUG THAT GUY!!

those of you who cant let it go, or are a fan of a certain player more than the panthers, enjoy watching and cheering for your hero that plays for the ravens...ill continue to smh and hope that NOBODY stands in the way of a panthers victory, especially a guy that has crippled us in order to satisfy his own ego.

i hope harper has a career day! keep pounding!!!

how much we are paying him now has nothing to do with it. that was not his choice that was G-man. Don't see anything detrimental to the team to speak of. Also definitely see nothing crippling from SS. how many more excuses do you have?

you don't have to like him no one does but at least be a little factual in trying to give reasons for his departure.

i will re-read my post to see if i incorrectly worded what i was trying to say, because i think you may have accidentally quoted my comment and replied to someone else's comment. i dont understand exactly what you mean by a couple of things in your comment.

factual reasons for departure...steve smith isnt here because he was getting paid a butt-ton of money to be a professional, but couldn't act accordingly. he was a bully here, with a sense of entitlement after over a decade of him being the star. even though he will be in the HOF and is our best player ever, and he filled a valuable need on the field, it was more valuable to the panthers to pay him $5 mil to play for someone else than to have his cancerous attitude around our young developing squad. gettleman, JR, ron, nor anyone else is responsible for smiths departure, STEVE SMITH alone is the reason he isn't a panther...which is why it makes me cringe when i hear him lying through his teeth about how he feels about the panthers. if he truly gave 2 fugs about us, he would have treated his opportunity and his team mates with the proper respect and not act like he deserved a reach around from the hand that fed him, and he would still be a panther.

as far as the money and what was detrimental to the team, is that we lost money and talent, all because steve smith couldnt keep his ego in check.

enjoy the game sunday, it must be a win-win for you, since you got vested interests in both sides. i personally wouldn't care if steve smith got dropped on his head and knocked the fug out....but like i said, im a panthers fan. keep pounding!

    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
    • No We have been making excuses for him for 3 years, and we have gave him a hundred chances  Bryce is a bust, and we need to cut him now and stop wasting everyone's time
