Roman Harper..... Shots Fired!

Steve had the 2nd most targets on our team last year... and Lafell and Ginn had a respectable percentage of our total targets. The ball is being spread around the same amount. Flacco is throwing to Smith because he is the best wr on their team, just like he was on ours. I really don't think it has anything to do with him being in someone's ear.

Edit:  Actually, this year without 89, it is being spread around a little less.  Olsen's target percentage is the same as last year - 24% of all targets.  '13 Smith was getting 22.7% of the total targets. '14 KB is getting 25.2% of total targets.  50% of all targets are going to either Olsen or KB.

this season we have 8 players catching the ball with regularity.  not 2 hogs, (smitty had just as many targets as olsen, with fewer receptions and more drops) 2 afterthoughts and a dump pass.

this season after 3 games we have:

Benjamin:  16 receptions, 27 targets

Olsen: 19 receptions, 26 targets

Cotchery:  8 receptions, 8 targets

Brown: 7 receptions, 9 targets

Avant:  8 receptions, 14 targets

Tolbert: 8 receptions, 11 targets

Stewart: 7 receptions, 7 targets

Bersin: 2 receptions, 2 targets

olsen and benjamin are getting the lion's share.  they should, for various reasons.  one is a stable vet that has good hands, the other is a rookie that needs fast track development

the rest is where you see the huge discrepancy in where cam doesn't feel pressured to feed a teammate by that teammate

we have 7 receivers on pace to match or surpass the stats given to us by our bottom four receiving options last year

and deangelo hasn't even cracked the list yet.  bersin is on track to give us more production than hixon and he's already pulled in as many passes as barner with 5 times the yards

just because smitty had fewer receptions than olsen last season, fewer yards, and fewer touchdowns doesn't mean he was targeted less

he was actually targeted the exact same amount.  109 times.

and now he's pulling the same poo in baltimore

SS talks total poop about the panthers...but expects us to bring him back to BOA, kiss his (_0_) and ALLOW him to retire a PANTHER, WITH HONORS!!!! The guy has issues.

he cannot be resisted haven't you been keeping up? It will happen and you will all love him again. I'm just saving a step in the process.

If our defense is as focused on defending Smitty as our fanbase, we may not like the outcome.

It's not the Carolina Panthers vs. Steve Smith. It's the Carolina Panthers vs. the Baltimore Ravens. Forget grudges, forget history, just focus on the 11 members of the Baltimore offense.

It's not all about 89.

I totally agree .RR did say this same thing so it probably isn't as bad, don't judge the teams focus on what happens here. In fact can't judge much about the team by what happens here.

I thought I read last season 89 spoke about how they actually talked during the offseason? Some dudes play a certain way....I think 89 of all people get that.

I think 89 has a VERY strong dislike for the fat northerner that is now here.....isnt hat who he was talking about in the camera earlier this year? A lot of that was bleeped out

Maybe you're thinking of Deangelo Hall...

    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
    • No We have been making excuses for him for 3 years, and we have gave him a hundred chances  Bryce is a bust, and we need to cut him now and stop wasting everyone's time
