DO NOT Fly Spirit Airlines

I'm really oblivious to air travel but even I've heard of Spirit and their shady practices.

they're modeled after the cheapo european lines. cheapest fares around by miles, but you better not show up with anything more then a fanny pack or you'll pay for it.

i'll definitely fly them again though. i found roundtrip tickets from ft lauderdale to lima, peru for four hundred fuging dollars next june… that's fuging outrageous.

This was is more on you than on the airline. Spirit is well know. For these practices. I could understand if they tried to hide the fact or something

I know sweet deals can be found ... but really folks, you're not some magician with all these "deals" sites, saving buckets for the same thing others are paying much, much more for. Business is business. Companies need profits. They're going to make something off you. If if was so easy to get a steal, business as we know it would cease to be a thing.

Spirit is the Walmart of airlines.  That may be ok when restocking on sunny D and cocoa pebbles, but cheap is not the first criteria I look for in when flying.

Priceline does hook it up every now and again, especially if it's last minute hotel stays.
