Official Panthers - Ravens Gameday Thread

The Panthers have a chance today to finish the first quarter of the season at 3-1. Building wins up early is key in a playoff run as the schedule gets more brutal from here on out. I would love to see them at 4-1 going into Cinci in two weeks.

I will be on the field for the game, tweeting early, follow @CarolinaHuddle on the twitter.

Who: Panthers at Ravens

Time: 1:00

TV: CBS

Radio: 1110WBT

Keys to Panthers Victory:

- Rebound defensively from last week's dreadful performance. A solid performance today and all is forgiven.

- Offensive line must improve greatly against the 3-4 Ravens hybrid defense.

- Deangelo Williams and Darrin Reaves must keep the Baltimore D honest. If they are ineffective in running, a loss is probable.

Getting ready to head to the stadium from the hotel. There are a decent amount of fans from what we've seen so far.

Going to the game with a mix of Ravens and Panthers fans.

Already want to throw up and didn't sleep at all last night. So stressed. So nervous.

I need a xanax!

    • He rushed for 74 more yards than Chuba did last year. He also played in all 17 games versus 15 for Chuba.
    • He's played like an average starter in maybe a third of his career games. Below average to bad in the rest. My point is that if you put a 200 yard RB behind pretty much any NFL roster caliber QB he's going to be able to play like an average starter leaning on that running game. But we're talking about a third year #1 overall pick with 30+ starts under his belt and we're still having to grade on a massive curve like we're playing some young mid-round pick who was drafted to be a backup. If that was the type of guy we were playing yeah, everyone could be happy about it but it's not. It's a guy we mortgaged the franchise on because the organization thought they were getting a franchise QB who could carry a team and we're still having to try to find ways to carry him.
    • Miles Sanders rushed for damn near 1300 yards in Philly. More than any season for Chuba. And I didn't "poo" on Chuba. That's your interpretation. I think he's a gritty between the tackles running back, but he isn't a homerun threat. Never has been. He's a consistent get you positive yards back.
