This team can and will fix the issues

We desperately need TD back at 100% as well. He and Frank will make a big difference. Offense really isn't that bad, we just somehow need our line to improve. We should actively try to trade for Roos or Kalil or someone who can help us. I wouldn't be against considering Roos, as he'd definitely be better than Amini and Turner on the inside. I hope the team tries to discuss bringing Hardy back after 6 games with the league, because that's what the policy is. I still have a positive outlook, but my patience is wearing thin. We need to step it up big and we need to do so very soon.

Yea if scoring points isn't the idea the offense isn't bad at all. 10 isn't that bad eh?

We are 28th in the league at 18ppg and the defense is 18th at 24ppg given up....both units are doing poorly but the offense has been consistently terrible at putting up points, especially against teams with anything resembling a defense.

Our offense is no worse than it was through our first 4 games last year and we turned out fine last year. It is bad but it's not more of a concern than our defense. We expected our offense to be bad and to have issues with consistency and chemistry early on with the re-worked line and receivers. They'll improve on that. We did not expect our defense to give up 35+ points in back to back weeks to mediocre offenses after holding the powerhouse Detroit offense to 7 points. Defense is a much bigger problem than offense right now.

Last season our defense helped our offense and this season our offense needs to help our defense. We had opportunities to score bur our offense game plan has been miserable. Once the offense gets moving our D will as well.

No it isn't....those 10 points we scored wouldn't have beaten any team in the league this week and if you think it's a defenses job to hold teams to under 10 in every game then there's nothing for ya.

And last year our offense is was what held us back from a playoff win as it can't move the ball or put up points against top tier defenses and yes they were at a measly 18ppg last year too...not good enough.

This is a great post. I think we have better offensive players but the nuances are lacking. The other point is our defense via take aways and field position was helping the offense last year and actually manufactured points for them. That's not happening now.

    • So Willis had a good game against a poor defense and all of a sudden he is worth 50 million and is guaranteed to be better than Young. LOL I know he looked good in the 3 games he started, and I think he will have success long term, but anyone signing him up for a long term contract for 50 million is taking a huge risk.
    • Is he really though? Rivera was past his prime and probably shouldn't have even started 2019 so his firing wasn't really unexpected or unwarranted. Rhule lasted two and a half years which was about one year too long in my opinion. Bringing him back that third year certainly wasn't impulsive and I would say Tepper was more patient than he should have been. Wilks finished out that third season and did pretty good but most everyone could see he really wasn't anything more than an intern HC. Bringing him back was not the long term answer so not bringing him back was the correct call. Hiring Reich was a mistake from the beginning and he recognized that fairly quickly. I am sure he knew he was going to catch a lot of sh*t for firing him so quickly ( and boy did he ) but it was absolutely the right thing to do given everything that was going on. The firing may have looked impulsive, but I think it was him recognizing he had royally f*ck up and just dealt with it instead of letting it fester.  That brings us to Canales. 2025 was only his second season and yet he delivered 8 wins and the NFC South title. And while that might not sound great, given the lack of talent and cap space they started with, it's a strong step in the right direction. I couldn't imagine Tepper not being pleased with their progress given the crap the Panthers' have been though under his ownership.
