Lend me your couch. I'm coming in to Charlotte this weekend to go to my first Pathers game at BOA. My folks are coming down from Maryland to meet me. My dad is a huge Bears fan and old school military. I'm his Art School drop out son. I'm taking a greyhound up from this poo hole called Atlanta and I want to for once in my life party with some real Panthers fans as dedicated as myself the night before the game and for a little while after. I've been missing home since I moved away Fayetteville when I was 9 and I'm dying to get some good true Carolina bbq. I can't wait to get to the tailgate and finally meet some of you guys I've become acquainted with over the years. I'm so fuging excite about this weekend. My boss asked me to work a double this Sunday last Sunday and I told him he can eat a fat sack of dolphin dicks.

I keep a Magnum on me at all times. I'm not sure if you're ready to step up to the gold standard though, little man.

I also keep a Magnum on me at all times, but we're probably talking about different things. I'm not sure if you're ready to step up to the lead standard, little man.

The Huddle is in "I want to be alone" mode.  Don't take it personal.  If last week would have been a win, your post would be pinned and have over 200 replies with offers of both home and wife privileges.

Hope you have a blast with your first game and win but stay out of Fayette-Nam, no matter how tempting it is to return home.

Unless you are a member of the world's largest street gang (compliment intended), wanting to pawn something or observe the bottom 1% of America's strippers, you have no business there.

Edited, just to see the edited tag.

Just got up and started my day. You guys really disappointed me. I expected this thread to be filled with smart ass comments and poo talk when I woke up. Everyone must be scared to get banned with Zod enforcing the rules after these two horrific losses.

Or they just don't care about you or this thread.

You miss Fayetteville??...i hit the gas a little harder when i pass it on I-95 traveling to a real city.

My FB is riddled with 40 year olds bragging about their new bands...in Fayetteville. It is like I left in 96 and everyone one there is the exact same.

You cannot stay on my couch but I shall give you unsolicited, little known Fayettevillian popular band guys from my time: Jimmy Herring of Widespread Panic/Allman Brothers/Aquarium Rescue Unit, lead singer from Godsmack(lol) he had extentions and a glam band in the 80's, Clint Lowery(guitarist from Sevendust) his bro Corey and a few other dudes who play for Clear channel awful "alternative" bands: like Seether and Evanesence.

...and of course my own Joe Satrani like playing in The Isoscles Love Triangle... Yep I used to think it was the greatest band name ever..lol

Seriously, have fun at the game and stay clear of the ville...the true message of this response.

    • So the last guy who had the job got hired by his former team directly into a role he has no direct experience in?
    • Hard to pass up millions for a couple of days work per week for a coaching gig in the NFL that is 60-80 hours each week during the season and a more relaxed 50 hours a week during the off season. Yeah, I'd love to see him as our DC but hard to see him giving up the cushy job there if he gets it. And he's going to be a great commentator for the network.
    • Really, I think that is where negotiations come in. If you've got a QB getting you to 10 wins but statistically he's not a great performer, then you say look you can take $22 million or you can try it on the market. Because let's face it, out there, any leadership skills that we're seeing aren't going to be on the table, it's just going to be performance and that lands him in the QB2 market, which is much, much less lucrative (although any of us would love that money).  No one is saying that Bryce will be a $50 million QB, barring something short of a miraculous jump. I'm just saying that if we are winning somehow with him at the helm, then it would be fuging stupid to dive back into the rookie pool all over again. Let's say we do hit the 10 win mark, heck, let's call it 11 and a second round in the playoffs. I think we can all say that would be a really uplifting result and one that should be doable if we have good play. What do we do then? Here's what I would offer if I were Morgan and Tepper. $25 million a year for 3 years, each year with up to $10 million in incentives for touchdowns, wins, playoff depth, being under 10 interceptions, completing a full season, passing yardage milestones, taking less than 15 sacks. Look, Bryce isn't a Ferrari, he isn't a Corvette, or a mid-level BMW. He's probably a new Toyota Sienna that will definitely get you somewhere and bring the whole team along with it, no fuss but not a lot of pizazz.  And really, it's about the destination, not about what drove you there.
