Puts more pressure on our 2 best players who are already under tremendous pressure.

Takes pressure off everyone else.

Okay, so let's stick with the horse theme.

Let's say you have 50 hooked together to pull something big. Maybe a beer carriage, like the Clydesdales. You put your 2 star horses in front and they are indeed wicked good. The horses behind them, not so much. Some aren't keeping the proper rhythm. Others are distracted and looking around at what is going on nearby. At the very back are a couple who can't even keep their legs under them and are literally being dragged along by the other horses.

Do you think focusing your efforts on the lead horses are going to significantly improve your performance?

One more analogy for you. If you take a group hiking, the fastest hikers don't set the pace. The group can only go as fast as the slowest member.

Neither of these analogies fit perfectly for a football team, but the fact remains, you can't surround 1 star on D and 1 on O with scrubs and expect to have success, no matter how perfectly they play. I don't think the rest of our guys are scrubs, but guys like CJ and Star and Kalil need to do a lot of soul searching to examine why their play is so different this year than last.
