Um, the past core refered to was when Hurney paid...

Williams, Stewart, Kalil, Johnson, Beason, Godfrey, etc, etc. Those were the Hurney "dudes"....basically he extended everyone to great deals and everyone around here claimed it was cool bc they were our "core". That "core" wasn't really a core he just overpaid everyone. Even Jags like Anderson got upgraded.

Core going forward should be the real one.....and it is tiny. Cam, Luke, and Benji and the DTs if they develop. No else should be considered part of our core....no one else should be safe

Like an older player who's lost a step but can still make plays from time to time.  Essentially this year's version of Eugene Robinson.  Unlike Godfrey, he doesn't look completely lost.

 

We may indeed need a better answer at safety, but Godfrey ain't it.

Also just because I think Godfrey at SS is better then Harper doesn't mean I think he's a good player or we don't need a upgrade over both of them.

I think my response was perfect considering you only posted your opinion. It's not a fact that Harper is the lesser of 2 evils. IT's your opinion based on nothing but a hate for Godfrey. We don't know if Godfrey is at SS he couldn't luck into the same Int's as Harper and might be a little faster at least in putting his body in the way when it comes to those big run plays we've been giving up. Instead of being late and chasing like Harper.

And Godfrey got the lucky INT for years and still took flack. Harper is doing it while being out of place on 80 yard run plays. So he sucks and without Hardy his suckeness is magnified.
