KB > Smitty

Now, and definitly in future.

Kb woukd not have the opportunity for development with our QB like he has, #1 reps, no vet mentoring if smitty were here. Smith would make it about him and would avoid doing his best to mentor KB so he can still be the man. Money, future, development. The blind emotionally attacbed fan cannot see. Those who get the wide, big picture do understand

# Get those stats smitty. See you in canton

Whatever you have to say to make yourselve feel better. I support Gettleman and am glad he's our GM; but, he was wrong on Smitty.  Felt that way at the time and feel that way now.

Would KB be less productive with Smitty here? Maybe...maybe not.  But it's silly to pretend it wouldn't have been better to have both Smith and KB together.

Getting rid of the cancer named Steve Smith was the best thing for gettlemen. He was a douche in the locker room and would have stunted the growth of the young receivers. He also plays with a fire in him, a fire that had nearly burned out while with the Panthers and only started burning again once he was cut. He wouldn't have done for the Panthers what he is doing for the Ravens, his heart wasn't in it.

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
