aj klein vs chase blackburn?

On one play he was left of Luke and somehow Luke got there first for the big hit. And the play was ran to his side

Klein has pretty pedestrian speed plus being next to Kuechly and Davis.

Klien is probably the better of the two right now but it's a position that desperately needs to be upgraded.

AJ can't play the pass while Blackburn is okay.

Blackburn sometimes overpursues the run and gets out of position while Klein has to use good angles and instinct just because he is sooooo slow.

 

So, they both have their respective strengths and weaknesses.

I was really hopeful about Klein after last year, but he's looked bad this year. No other way to put it.

Chase is better...but it's not why we suck. Something is wrong with Davis that is not allowing him to move laterally quick enough. So he turns his hips sprints and is overrunning plays if you want to talk about LB struggles

Given how often this defense is in nickel, I don't think it really matters.

And opposing QB's just have to look for #30 and they can count on a 3rd down conversion.

Brad Nortman is probably more valuable to this team than either Klein or Chase.

 

People like to talk about our great front 7, but in reality, it's really only 6 because the 7th guy is almost never on the field.

Imho Jason Williams is a better LB.

Blackburn. Just for the fact he always looks like some homeless guy that was hanging outside the stadium they signed to a contract

jason williams played great for us couple years back , i dont get why we dont give him a shot? he looked real good in the preseason as well . i played jason williams in football back in highschool dude can hit man

Chase is actually slower then Klein, he just reacts faster.  I want Klein to win the job, but i dont like forcing it. I say keep rotating them some and see how it goes.
