the official "ron fuging sucks" thread

This is nice in theory but it lacks the oh so important ingredient of being truthful.

Horton has been all encompassingly terrible.

And lol at the notion anyways of preferring someone who stops the run vs stopping the pass in the hear 2014

Lol at the people in our fanbase who think they know more about our players and coaching scheme than our own staff. "Starting" has little to do with who has more talent.. it's just how he wanted to start out the rotation.

Im not saying ron is anything to write home about, just look at what personnel we are dealing with.

You act like this is our first blowout this season. We all knew this stretch wouldn't be pretty.

lol what stretch? The terrible steelers? The average ravens?

And no, I'm not acting like this is our first blowout this season. That's the problem-it isn't.

This team looks completely mystified as to what is happening in the field. They look soft-and yet every Wednesday half the roster takes the on,y padded practice day off so they'd an "rest."

Rivera is done.

Biggest disappointment is that the money we DID spend this offseason disproportionately went to the DB's, and they are utterly atrocious, while on the flipside, the pennies we spent at receiver were well spent.  Gettleman is supposed to be a good talent evaluator, and he's missed horribly with contracts for Harper/Decoud/Cason.

Of this stretch, the Steelers are the only "bad" loss. Seattle, Green Bay, Baltimore are all playoff teams.

I get it, we look terrible, yet after all this we are still leading the division and haven't played any of our awful division outside of the Bucs on the road.

This stretch just shows we aren't about to get far in the playoffs anytime soon. But can we win the division? I still think so. If we look like this against the Saints and Falcons, I will be concerned.

    • We didn’t need a 50/50 ball receiver. We need guys who can create separation for Bryce to pinpoint the ball to at all levels of the defense. Tet may figure it out a few years from now but he will struggle to beat man coverage due to his lack of acceleration and what seems to be relatively slim frame.    The offense functioned much better with Theilen last season because of his ability to create separation from defenders. I don’t know why but that is Bryce’s go-to rather than a 50/50 ball which, in the NFL, is a throw you may make two times per game.    i wanted Tyle Warren because I feel he can end up being very much like Kelci and how he operates in space and how that chemistry between he and Mahomes doesn’t need a playbook. Then you’ve got Matthew Golden who is apparently burning everyone at Packers camp right now. He is very much like Antonio Brown.    We clearly made the pick we made so I should get over it. I think everyone is hoping for Mike Evans here but at best I think we may get a smaller DK Metcalf? Given what we know about his inability to break coverage at UA-Tuscon, it’s going to be even harder in THA LEAGUE.
    • With how WR starved we've been over the years I'll gladly take 7 on the roster.  There will no doubt be injuries so it gives flexibility and also makes it easier when someone needs to rest for a week for a nagging injury if someone else can step up.   The Renfrow story has been great.  Dude was on the couch dealing with some real stuff the last year and probably misses playing and is going all out.  And basically his hometown team, near his family, it's like a perfect storm.  We already knew he ran amazing routes and is a third down machine.  AT isn't going to be around forever but Renfrow could slide into that vet leadership role in the future.
    • I hope Deion will be well now, he's been battling a lot of health issues, as do almost every person of his or our age. Even one of the greatest athletes of his time has had to battle with health issues and thankfully it seems like he's been on top of things. Learn from him and stay on top of things, especially after 40. You really, really aren't as young as you feel.
