It is absolutely insane to suspend a POTENTIAL first-time misdemeanor offender for a full year. Even if he had been found guilty by a jury already, he shouldn't have to sit for a year.

Roger Goodell is the only person who can activate Hardy. Could the team say FU Roger & give Hardy a uniform anyway? Sure, but they could also put a jersey on a penguin & run it on the field. Either way, same result. Get off the field or you forfeit. Besides, Hardy hasn't been in the facilities in 6 weeks. How effective do you really think he's gonna be right now?

the exemption list is not a suspension. it's like being put in time out until you are given permission to come out of your corner and play with the rest of the kids out on the playground.
