I haven't ever been a huge cam fan. But I wish him the best luck the next game. I've seen him grow as a player this season, an a leader. But I Duno if he will ever be that great qb we need. I'm a huge believer in DA. I feel like he's that guy just waitin on a chance to shine. He has great movement in the pocket. Rather its first string or backups he still looks very comfortable back there. Also he has a very fast release an i love watchin him play. U can tell me I'm crazy but that's just my opinion. Keep pounding panthers.

I also think you're forgetting that Can is putting up his best passing numbers this year, so even if you believe he has had a clean pocket, then you should have nothing to complain about.

I am not blaming Newton for the start this year. Not at all. Newton is what he is. But since you bring up numbers, here they are:

Cam Newton is

26th in completion percentage

22nd in yards per attempt

21st in NFL passer rating

18th in yards per game and

17th in total QBR

There is plenty of finger pointing and hyperbole thrown around on this forum about other parts of the team, from the owner, GM and coaches to the offensive line, defensive line, defensive backs, linebackers and even running backs and receivers.

Guess what: Cam Newton has not been that great either.

Russell Wilson has been sacked 14 times and hit 24 times on 175 passing attempts this season.

Cam Newton has been sacked 14 times and hit 34 times on 206 passing attempts this season.

So:

Wilson has a sack percentage of 8.0 and has been hit on 13.7% of his dropbacks this season

While Newton has a sack percentage of 6.8 and has been hit on 16.5 % of his dropbacks this season

Feel free to spin the numbers.

It is easy to look at the numbers, one can argue that Cam doesn't need more help. He just need to, fill-in-the blank in the Panthers' offense VS. Cam argument. But when u break down the offensive team itself it's pretty clear to see that Russell is working with better material. Also, the coaching style does play a role in how many of the plays. If u have coaches who insist that there is nothing wrong with certain aspects of the game play and continue running it be spite ground losses, that also hurt Cam's numbers.

The bottom-line is, IMO, is Russell does not have to pass the ball as much as Cam. He can afford to mix it up a lot because he has pretty darn good RB around him and there is confidence there. The Seahawks have a far better and more consistent running game than the Panthers.

Confidence built on consistence also plays a major role in those numbers. Let's just day that it's safe to say, after four seasons Cam is very much aware of the team he has been given to work with. And, so does Russell. which one of those two QBs do u believe will have more confidence behind their offense?

You have to watch the games. The line has been inconsistent. Against Cincy they did a pretty good job.

But against Pitt, I don't care what stats say, it they are getting pressure that quickly with only a three man rush, don't come tell me that they are even average if they can't block 3 with 5.

The o line is pretty bad, but have made progress and had some good games. Now they need to show consistency.

And where is the  rest of the team in the same ranking? That may tell a lot.
