Bright spot: Last 8 games of the season features exactly 1 team with a winning record

Sure Seattle was 3-3, but we all knew there was still a poo load of talent on the roster. Outside of the Eagles, we should be able to rack up at least 4 or 5 wins right?

Should. The problem us we have given ourselves zero margin for error instead of taking advantage of opportunities like today where we had chances to put that game out of reach early and the defense showed up.

So we win the division and get raped in the first round and lose a lot of draft position.  Whoop ti do.

I think draft position is completely meaningless in the NFL unless you're literally talking about the difference between the #1 pick and the #2 pick. Didn't we hit on KB even when picking near the end of the first round last year?

I would have zero problem squeaking into the playoffs with 7 or 8 wins and losing. Being the first team in the NFC South to repeat and going to the playoffs twice in a row for the first time in team history would be huge.

You may be right but we have so many needs the higher pick in each round the better. Plus if we was to win the division it would just give rivera and shula more of a false sense of accomplishment.

If our defense plays like it did most of the day today we could end the year above .500.  If it plays like it has the last month prior to today we may not win again.  If we refuse to beat teams unless they absolutely make it impossible for us to lose, (like the Chicago game) then we will be picking top 5 next year.
