Mike Shula on issues in the red zone:

Recommended Posts

I have some bad news for all you folks who be unhappy with Shula. He very well could be here next year.

Given our O-line struggles, the powers that be may decide it is more a problem of execution, than play calling. Rivera likes what Shula is TRYING to do.

When you cannot run the ball effectively, nor give you QB time to throw. It is going to be difficult to blame the OC.

Until we fix our O-line, we cannot definitively know whether it is in fact the line, or Shula. Soooo....We all best be hoping for O-line help this offseason. Lots of it. Spend some damm money on it. Buy some talent, draft some talent. Fix the damm thing. Cuz until that happens. Shula may just hang on, and on, and on,

Shula is not only inept,he is also a stubborn, heard headed. excuse for an OC. He is never creative and always goes with what he is most comfortable with, regardless of whether it's working or not. The other teams DC must lick their chops when they play us because Shula is like an old worn out record that they have listened to numerous times.

Stewart and Cam have always had really really bad chemistry in the screen game. It seems like Stewart always loses his momentum making an acrobatic catch. Deangelo has been a better screen back. Also Fozzy did a great job as the safety valve for all of 2 quarters.

To me Stew always looks awkward or not fluid in many plays. He lands funny or is always in the air etc.

Guys it's the execution, not the staff!

So tired of that line over and over, fugging adjust to optimize your personnel dimwits! Maybe if 'execution' falters week after week then you should change the system, god dammit I just want FO to own up to anything and give our players something to rally behind.

Every single one of those quotes don't give me faith in the coaching staff. ANd what the hell is Ron talking about, a shot in the arm?

rr is essentially hulk Hogan. Just quotes and the same old three moves... flexing, getting pissed with head shaking, and a big leg drop. He is always saying irrelevant things as if he is a lb coach only. Smh

How about...run more than one play to your 6'5" receiver into the redzone.

DON'T run 4 out of 5 plays that start from behind the LOS. Stop calling plays like your offensive line is a strength..

Stop hoping that your QB is gonna pick up 10 yards on a freaking read option every time.

Shula is a 1999 OC with a job in 2014. Decent with a long field, terrible with a short field. With that being said, no huddle. Let Cam run with what's comfortable doing and less play-calling for your ass. It also causes defenses to adjust on the fly, no subsitutions
