Ride or Die

Well hello, I'm glad you all received the honor of my presence today..

I'm a Cub fan, yes, that is right, a Cub fan.. Those clowns haven't won a World Series since the Ottoman's were in control and since JR was 4 years old..  Since 1908 this fan base has waited and nothing, nada.. Yet, I love that team more than I love fluffy nipples..  I fly to Chicago, St Louis and watch three to four games a year and to date, have followed every game online or on TV.  It cuts deep.

Also, I'm a Panther fan, I love this team, ride or die I'm with them.. It was a pain in my ass to root for the Skins before Carolina got a team so, I'm thankful I have a hometown team to root for.  Things will get better, maybe not as soon as we all want but they will get better.  The flack the FO has for sure seen in the media is more than they have ever received before and you can bet your sweet ass they are watching and are embarrassed about it.

We all, on this medium of communication are all kindred spirits, we root for a team and we root hard.. In this fog of uncertainty and frustration let me quote a former player whose jersey will one day be retired at BOA and maybe even a statue.

Ice up Son!

Anyone who follows a team based on wins or losses isn't an actual fan. We could be 0-15 and I'd still be out there trash talking and repping my Panthers for our final game.

PS: These people saying DA should start are a cancer to our franchise and should be excommunicated.

I was at two of the Marlins/Cubs NLCS games in 2003. Went to 53 Marlins games that year. Bartman was a scapegoat for Rodriguez's errors. That is all.

Agree with you 100%

By the way, I lived in Lincolnshire, IL and worked at Hewitt Associates at the time.. Wanna know who else worked there?  Steve friggin Bartman.  He never showed up for work and actually fled the state.. People were idiots about it.

I was also at game 4 of the World Series when a young Miguel Cabrerra took Roger Clemons yard after he threw at his head. Then Alex Gonzalez took Weaver yard for a walk off in the 12th. Still the single best sporting event I have ever been to.

Cabrerra signed a ball for me about 5 weeks into his rookie season with his original #20. Got that bitch in a safe deposit box.

There were three people who reached for that ball. Bartman was the unlucky SOB. And it wouldn't have been that bad but fuging Alou bitched about it and brought attention to Bartman.

That dude has been offered millions to be interviewed but has declined.   It wasn't Bartman's fault that Prior hung an 0-2 fast ball to IRod and he smacked the chit out of it.

In all fairness, I broke a TV the night that it happened but it was more because of Agon and less about Bartman.   Imagine this though SCP.. What else happened that year? hmmmm?

Fan interference and kickoff out of bounds all in the span of a calendar year. The Cubs/Panthers fan combo is not for the faint of heart.

    • These are the three deep throw attempts that Will Levis made in week 12. His first one is a beauty; Levis and Westbrook-Ikhine gets the safety to bite on a deep dig only to go over the top for the score. His second throw is another beauty: a crosser to Calvin Ridley reminiscent of Bryce to XL (though Ridley has noticeably more separation on his route). His third and final deep shot was an incompletion from his own endzone on 3rd & 14 with pressure coming down on him (to me, this seems like a solid throw).   Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-02.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Levis took half of the deep shots that Young did. The differences are: Ridley had much better separation than XL, which is why his deep crosser turned into a 63yd play since he was able to scamper for another 15+ after the catch. Westbrook-Ikhine holds on to his TD pass. Bryce had to throw one away to preserve time for a field goal. Bryce had two more throws that were incomplete due to the WR Are we really holding the three WR errors and clock management decision against Bryce in order to say that Will was better throwing deep in week 12? That's not passing the eye test nor is it confirmed by the data.
    • If you go on the PUP list before the season starts, you are gone for the year. If you start the year on the PUP list then you can get off of it. Kind of semantics, but we are putting him on the PUP list now which is before week 1, that’s why people who come off of it aren’t really on the PUP list until week 1, hence you usually hear right before the season that they are “starting the year” on the PUP list. I think PUP list and IR may basically be the serve the same purpose now because you also sometimes hear that if a player is added to the IR before week 1 that they aren’t eligible to come off the IR list for the entire year. Now, everyone added to IR (post week 1) can come off after 4 (or more) games so the PUP list is meaningless since it’s 6 games and starts at week 1. Anyone added to PUP or IR in the preseason is gone for the year.
    • I saw Brooks maybe a few weeks ago, he was walking pretty normally. of course he wasnt running, jumping and cutting.
