Official Panthers - Falcons Gameday Thread

And some games that happens.

The great Andrew Luck gets down 30 points in the playoffs throwing 3 int's. But he gets the credit for bringing his team back. Cam should get the same here.

You're barking up the wrong tree arguing with MH, he has motives.

Every coach would run the ball three times in that scenario....we were well within gano's range. Gano had plenty of leg on that kick...he just drew the ball a little too much.

Dropping back to pass at that point could have easily led to a sack (taking you out of FG range) or an int (which ends the game). No coach would throw in that situation.

Just because idiots like you can't understand or comprehend that does not make it any less true.

Personal attacks, sweet.

Should have centered it, though.

I have no problem with playing for the field goal, but it should have been executed in a way that pulled as much time off the clock as possible.

The playcalling was awful.

The defense kept us in the Game. Cam gave us a chance to win it.

I agree with you on that fact.

But, the offense and Cam have to find a way to be more consistent. Needing end of game heroics like today won't result in a winning record. You will lose as many of those late game heroics as you will win.

Cam was fantastic in the 4th. He just needs to find that place more often than he is right now.

Yeah the only coaches who would be the ones that have the OL to do it. We should had at least 1 quick throw to get manageable run play and then kick a field goal if we didn't get the first.

The game outcomes already tells you that its the stupidist poo to play for FG instead of going for the kill.

You do not put the ball in the air in that situation. You are in FG range...you keep the clock moving and do not take a chance of a sack or int. any coach makes that same call

A 46 yarder.. He played for a hard FG to make in perfect condition. .

That (centering it) I completely agree.

But, I still don't think any coach in the nfl would try to pass in that scenario...especially with our weak OL.

If Rivera called a pass play there and Cam took a sack, most in here would be calling for his head for calling a pass play.

The calls were right (except for centering it). Gano is money at that range and had plenty if leg. He just pulled it.

    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
    • I'd give anything to go back to a 4-3 but we are so removed from having the pieces for that. All because Tepper wanted to force this 3-4 on all our coaches.
