A great point made by Troy Aikman

During the Eagles-Packers game, Aikman was complimenting Mike McCarthy on how he has total control of every aspect of the team. He noted how Mike has input in every decision made in all phases of the game, and takes responsibility of both successes and mistakes. The result? A team that looks in-synch, and thus puts up 50 on a pretty good Philly team.

Now look at Ron. It seems like he has no input whatsoever on the offensive gameplans other than what type of play to call in a certain situation (which he fails at miserably). He leaves a retard like Shula in total charge of the offense. Then when press conference time comes he deflects blame to the players, not taking responsibility for his own shortcomings.

One's team is perhaps the best in the NFC, the other's just lost to the Falcons. It's simple - we need a HC who takes charge and isn't afraid to assert himself. Ron has the biggest vagina in the NFL.

funny thing is a lot of Packers fans hated the extension they just gave him

Yea having a hand in everything looks great when you're as hot as the Packers, but trust me once they lose all the blame falls on his shoulders.

Fans always find something to complain about

Show me a Packers fan that hated that extension, and I'll call them a complete dumbshit.

I was in Milwaukee listening to the radio when it happened. Most of the hate came from they felt he didn't deserve the money because anyone could win with Rodgers (a few insisting that he's holding the team back because they should have at least two more rings.)

It looks like their own there way this season. I wouldn't complain.

Now we know why Rivera was rejected for so long in getting a HC position.  He probably went into interviews saying he's going to oversee the defense, and basically have his OC run the offense.  As a HC, you need to be involved in everything, especially on the offense.  Why?  The offense controls the ball.  You need to make decisions whether to go for it on 4th down, when to kick field goals, when to throw the challenge flag, etc.  Only in dumb Carolina, where we like DCs, would we hand the team over to a guy like Rivera.  I predict after we fire Rivera, he will never get another HC job again.
