Corey Brown and Kelvin Benjamin both made plays that were there when the occasion arose today. They both made big catches, and executed as well as can be expected in those situations. I'm not a huge fan of the "it never should've come down to that" argument to cover up a poor decision late in games, and neither of those guys helped themselves become scapegoats. They also helped the perception Of Cam because those were big time throws right where they needed to be, as most of his throws were today outside of a small handful.

Kudos to the rookies, they certainly earned their stripes today in my book. I know Benjamin has to many of you needing concrete evidence and Corey has to those of you who couldn't control your feels before now but they both solidified their standing on this team today.

Ron Rivera on the other hand...taking the ball out of you're "nuke's" hands so to speak, the guy who can end it all with his legs or arm, at the end of the game only to set up in power and run the ball. It was cold, cold enough to where sitting around or walking, hell even stretching won't keep you loose enough as a PK. Rivera lost points, and Shula needs to be writing thank you notes after every game to the powers that be.

It's amazing that JAGs like Philly Brown and Fozzy Whittaker get us excited.

It is. But the thing is people see potential. After seeing so many failures here you eventually see what isn't going to work and you soon can catch an eye for what does work.

You see Travaris Cadet playing for the saints(yes I am an app fan) but Fozzy has twice the ability Cadet does at this level yet Cadet produces.

Saying that Whitaker has twice the ability as Cadet is a stretch to say the least, and it's not even true if you believe people in football circles.

Have you seen Cadet? He is stiff, small frame and runs a 4.6 at best which is why Deandre Pressley started over him at App. Fozzy is a natural 3rd down back. If you put him on the saints who do you think would win that job? I saw Cadet in college, in every game he started at QB and receiver, and I also have seen Fozzy. If you put Cadet on our squad he wouldn't make it out of training camp because of our inability to adjust to personnel.

Forgetting Cadet, the Saints or any other team in the NFL could have signed Fozzy. Indeed, there is a real argument that Obi is a better runner than Whitaker.  Fozzy has been around, just like some of the other cheap Band-Aids that we've seen around here lately.  Just compare his career stats to other RBs around the league, and it should be painfully obvious that he should only be coming off the bench in case of emergency.
