Great article on Cam's future in Observer today

I really love how everyone lines up to bitch about the offensive line but when asked specifically what else could have been done, there's a whole lot of crickets.

sometimes poo happens. the problems are exacerbated by the inept coaching.

as far as weapons, Kelvin - Stewart - Benji with Avant and Cotchery as role players is fine assuming competence at the HC/OC position and a healthy Cam. I mean what more can you reasonably expect? I think if you look around the league that's pretty much above average as far as offensive supporting cast goes.

And with Gross, take a look at the guy. Maybe he comes back and plays one more season, but just looking at him he's a guy that was ready to stop. I can't imagine what he had to go through to keep that weight on.

I still don't know of any other franchise who literally gutted their starting quarterbacks entire WR core entering a contract year.

While also simultaneously going into the season with potentially one of the worst OL's in the history of the league.

If someone else can think of a comparable example, I'd like to hear it.

Good thing cam isn't really in a contract year and will be playing for us atleast until 2017.

    • I think in all honestly, the final 2 games are carrying most of the weight in a lot of Bryce talk IMO.    During the window where he "blew it out of the water" window......were a lot of games where he was not above average.  AZ is largely one of those stat sheet games.   Where the stat sheet reflects QB play that didn't exist in the game.  That game was all Chuba.  Meh vs Dallas.  Meh vs Philly.  Meh vs Giants.  Probably average vs Tampa, Den, Saints.  Bryce made HUGE strides vs what he was.  We should be happy.   But when you start comparing him to the rest of the league.....people I think are going too far.  His best aspect in reality.....is his scrambling.  And that's probably not a great thing give his size.
    • Mays and Zavala looked lost in the Reich offense.  Granted Zalava was probably playing too soon due to injuries but he looked terrible.  This new staff seems to be doing well with our OL.  I also wonder if having two vets in Hunt and Lewis just made life that much easier on whoever was/is playing center.
    • What the Panthers should target in order (via free agency or via trade): 1. Julian Blackmon  2. Mike Hilton 3. Jaire Alexander 4. Jalen Ramsey
