As to the free agents under Shanahan, the most memorable names would be Donovan McNabb (via trade, later dumped him), Pierre Garcon, Josh Morgan, Barry Coffield and Brandon Merriweather.

To be fair, Alfred Morris was a pretty good pick.  Roy Helu and Jordan Reed aren't so bad either.

Me too, honestly.  I think he's got a better eye for personnel.

 

But given that he and Gettleman are former colleagues, Shanahan would have to be considered a possibility (same as Coughlin).
