Tin Foil Hat time. (TFH)

Is it possible that the fractures Cam suffered occurred at an earlier date but were not discovered until this accident? We all remember the game he was having difficulty getting up out of the huddle against the Eagles. It's entirely possible the reason he was having issues was because of his back and not because of his ankles as many people theorized.

You can remove your hat after you give a response agreeing with me.

He'd have had pain in his back if this happened before.

No prior discussion this season included any mention of back pain.

The way he was standing up during the Philly game looked a lot less like pain in his leg and more like a back or rib issue. Like I said, run foil hats.

However is it totally uncommon for teams to not mention pain or other injuries on a report? No. Is it possible cam concealed it? Yes. Is it also possible Cam had smaller fractures there that didn't cause immense pain and that this aggravated them.

How would it not have been disovered? The pain is strong enough and in a specific area that surley Newton would notice it and alert a trainer. He also wouldve proably had to miss a game, as the other Qb's have. Coaches and trainers wouldve noticed his reaction through dealing with the pain and wouldve inquired.

We all watched the same Philly game and saw the grimace throughout the night. Given Cams need to not disappoint people, in his own mind, it's possible he didn't disclose the pain in that area.

I mentioned this in another thread. It was mentioned by Zod in the podcast and discussed with jonathan jones. It was decided that the injury was from the crash,

I see. It was decided but not determined. Tin foil hat remains on sir. Ultimately the motions required to cause the injury can be similar in football and car accidents and it doesn't matter.

I was just searching for an explanation as to why Cam was in so much pain in Philadelphia.(I know he was sacked several times but it was unusual.)

ok now ask yourself if he got injured in Philly could he have seriously performed like he did last Sunday? I doubt it.

He's disclosed pain on other games he's been in. And given the status of his injury, this isnt some minor pain he could conceal and play with without trainers or coaches noticing. Id imagine it would be  noticeable the way he moves and looks, paticualry the first few days after.

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
