It is not nearly as arrogant as your self-righteous, anti-religious freak outs anytime "God" or "Christian" is mentioned anywhere.

STFU, GTFO, & GFY.

What an incredibly intelligent and tolerant response to a refutation of the apologist's point of view of the Problem of Evil.

I think the fundemental thing that hinders most non-Christians when it comes to God is the belief that God is in control. He's not. Scripture speaks to this over and over. Even Jesus himself said that Satan is the God of this world.

When Christians say God is in control and non-Christians take a look at the mess the world is in, how could they not have issues with our idea of God?

The problem is most Christians won't make a statement like "God is not in control" because we think it contradicts his sovereignty or omnipotence when I don't think it does.

As a Christian, like Cam, I have a certain expectation of protection through scriptures like the 91st psalm. If I was in a crash and survived I would thank God because he said he would protect me. Does this then mean that God doesn't protect non-believers? I believe it does, but it's not because he doesn't will, it's because they don't will, usually through unbelief.

God only works through and with people. He CANT, I repeat, He CANT, work independently from man. But I thought God was omnipotent? It depends on what you mean by omnipotent, if you mean that God can do anything, then your idea of omnipotence is different than scripture. Scriptures definition of omnipotence is that God can do anything except contradict his word and his word says he won't work independently of man, and because his word says he won't, it means HE CANT.

Therefore when a non-believer doesn't have a relationship with God, or no one close to them, has a relationship God, God can't intervene. Why? He doesn't have permission and or partnership. Salvation is permission, prayer is partnership. Both are a license for God to intervene, without that license he can't. Cam had that license.

Now two more interesting questions that come from this are: Why did God decide to limit himself in this way? And: what about Christians that die in traumatic events?

Since you are talking about Yahweh your statements are impossible.  Man cannot create the heavens and the earth which Yahweh did (Gen1:1).  Yahweh does not ever change (Mal3:6).  Thus, Yahweh has now and forever possessed the power to create the heavens and the earth which could not have been done through a human agent.

You mad brah?

That is the most unscientific thing you've said all day. At most, it is a theory, not a fact. Just because you type something in all caps doesn't remove the fallacy in it. You can't say something is a fact if it hasn't happened yet. Unless of course you believe in destiny... which most would agree is contradictory to any scientific process.

Go back and re-read what I said again. Because your response leads me to believe that not only do you not know what I'm talking about.... but you don't know what you're talking about either.

Mathematical fact. If something is continually progressing, and you pick any given point, eventually it will progress to that point if the timeline is long enough. That is a simple mathematical fact, you are lying to yourself saying that is somehow 'unscientific.' It really can't get any simpler.. It it can be 100% proven by a mathematical formula, yes, it is 100% a verified fact.

"You can't say something is a fact if it hasn't happened yet." Wow lol, I don't think you understand what a fact is... the sun will set tonight. FACT. The Panthers will play on Sunday. FACT. Simple concept really..

Its sounds like you are the one that doesn't understand what a fact is.

These things will probably happen, but it is not 100%.
