Depends on his final concussion evaluation today. Could go either way, but if I had to guess I'd say he is out. Why risk another concussion this week with no playoff hopes

how about mccoy? either one of those guys being out is huge for setting up the run

If he was full participation, that means he most likely already passed concussion protocol.

According to David, he didn't have a concussion. The fact that he's even practicing leads me to believe he'll play

    • Blind squirrels and all… he occasionally gets a lane and can operate.    I don’t think he can make his living there and it is why I didn’t  think we should invest a whole lot into trying to develop that part of the offense. Like with a highly drafted TE.  I feel like with him, it is super simple; you need to make running the ball your strong suit. TEs that can block. A big OL. I am concerned about the RB room there is a lot riding on Brooks. But a great RB room. If those things aren’t strengths it will not have a chance of working. Then you need to take the downfield shots which have been missing for most of three years, maybe every down isn’t defended like we are in red zone. Because that is what teams do to us.
    • Pretty sure that a QB contract payday is all the competition any QB in this league needs, I don't think a competent backup is going to make them play any harder when the current situation wouldn't warrant the contract extension yet anyways. Your opening point in this post is also the problem, "Bryce has shown signs of improving", but that's still all he's shown, and he's only showing that because of just how bad he was to start his career. If he played like last season from the beginning and never improved one bit, then I actually think more fans would be ready to move on from him, which is what's weird.  It's like going from one of the biggest draft busts of all time into the 25th best QB in the league over 3 years means he deserves a long term $40+ million a year contract extension. Improvement shouldn't be the goal when the result of said improvement is still bottom of the league levels.
    • Yeah, but we've seen him do it. Just not often. I think that's the reason for the taller WRs. Would likely be a problem finding someone like Jimmy Horn in the mess.
