Would You Rather Face Manziel or Hoyer?

Big play potential means nothing. There are lots of mobile QBs with big play potential and the majority of them are horrible right now.  Scrambling and throwing jump balls only works in college when you have a 6'5" NFL caliber wr. Hoyer is the better QB hands down. Why they made the switch from a guy that had them in playoff contention to a rookie, I have no idea.

I hope they announce soon so we can game plan. I fully expect Thomas Davis to break Manziel in half if he starts.

Manzel does have big play potential. I'd argue he has more than Hoyer. Hoyer is predictable, meh, and not very good.

We let Doug Martin go for 70 yard runs....we have let people all season bust huge runs on us. I don't want Johnny's first real ESPN highlights to be us.

Tampa has proved throughout the season when the opportunity is there, they can have a solid running attack.  They've done this with Rainey, Sims and Martin at times.

I don't see how Manziel has big play potential just because he is somewhat mobile.  He is more elusive than mobile but that gets lost when 90% of the players in the league can match his speed.  His sh*tty toss up throws to Evans types won't work if the Browns don't have those types on the team.  With Cameron and Gordon, Hoyer fits way better.  And I know we sometimes make bad QBs look good, but we're getting in a rhythm on defense and if Cinci can do what they did, he better be ready to get destroyed by us.

And while Brady Quinn was not a rookie, he did in fact beat Cam Newton head to head in 2012. That's right. Mr. Articulate.

What kind of logic is this? Quinn lit up our defense. You do recall the incident that occurred a few days before that game yes? Also, we only lost by 6 points, and Newton was 15/27 for 232 yards, 8.6 YPA, 3 touchdowns, 0 turnovers, and 78 yards rushing (he was the leading rusher).

Our defense these last few weeks seem to have found that spark they had in 2013, which was of course missing in 2011 and 2012.

Do you think I'm calling Cam bad? Is that what you took from that?
