it's a pride thing... Shula isn't in control of the "no huddle" and wants to be in control.  Also  he is jealous that Cam is better at play calling than him.

Bottom line is that Shula is a joke of an OC and will never coach again unless its in junior high

I don't think you are right here.

Shula is trying to play a form of ball control offense that doesn't really work out of the no-huddle, hurry-up kinda offense.    So playing it the entire game would run counter to the offensive philosophy.

ok... i agree with you... but the fact that he is too stubborn to change his "offensive philosophy" goes to everything i was saying

I do agree he seems very stubborn and seems to be holding to a philosophy that doesn't work the best for the players we have right now.

Lol we always say every week that we need more of this fast paced offense but shula manages to only bring it out when we are playing down a score. It's frustrating as hell.

The Panthers will go no huddle all the way down the field and then for no reason at the 5 you see Cam huddling up. WTF is wrong with Shula and/or Ron?

I guess they are trying to win TOP.

Nobody is claiming we no-huddle all the time but we should use it at least a few drives per game to keep the defense off balance.  We can also shift from hurry up to regular tempo within the same drive as the opportunity presents itself.  Or we can only do it when we are about to lose and have no choice.  Only one of these options appeals to an OC who has zero imagination, vision or ability to adapt to ever changing game conditions.

You said it all.

Shula shows the trait of all certifiable idiots: He'd rather be wrong/unscuccessful doing this his way, instead of doing it more successful another way. :thumbsd:

The irony: He's going to get credit for Panther success, whether it's his or Cam's idea anyway. But unforunately, Shula's too stupid and stubborn to realize that. :startle:

    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
