Our Early Season Ghosts Caught Up With Us...

All of the weaknesses that cost us early in the year came back to bite us here...

No Hardy was possibly the biggest loss. Addison was abused multiple times in pass rush and gave up a TD in coverage.

The offensive line, namely Bell was right up there in biggest weakness. I've never seen a guy give up as much as he does and continue to go unchallenged for his job. That has to change this offseason.

WRs... multiple drops, no fight for positioning or the ball from several guys. Only guy the could really create space when manned up was KB because of his size.

We forgot about these weaknesses in the euphoria of our winning streak, understandably, but they were just too big to overcome.

Hopefully Ealy pans out, but instill don't think help be as good as hardy, but WR and OL, namely LT, absolutely have to be addressed with urgency. If our first pick isn't one of those positions, I will poo a brick.

along with secondary, any upgrade CB or Safety would be appreciated.

Immediate needs are:

LT

SS

speed at WR

DE (if CJ is a cap casualty, still need to look to backfill depth if not)

I actually feel pretty good elsewhere.

We need better WR period. Cotchery and Berson are just bad. You can even add Dickson in there even though he had a few good grabs he has just not been good this year. KB, Olson and Philly are the only ones that have been up to par.

I wouldn't disagree with that at all.  If KB, Olsen, and Philly were the only three pass catchers from this roster that were on the final roster next season, I wouldn't be upset about that in the least.

It bothers me so much that we will likely need a DE. Ealy does look promising but you can never tell with that position. We need a safety badly as well . Harper and Boston are like complete opposites of each other and both are still bad.

Praying for JPP in the free agency...get it done DG

Its was painfully obvious that our WRs are the worst part of the offense. Thats saying alot when you have a patchwork Oline playing like we have.

Yep.  IMO, lack of speed at the WR position was our biggest weakness tonight.  The biggest difference tonight was the fact that the Seattle DBs could jump routes all night long because they didn't fear any of our guys going deep on them.  Seattle was able to get some big plays and they were able to get YAC.  Our receivers almost never get YAC.

IMO that was not even the worst thing. The passion is just not there. Cotchery and Dickson look content on just being out there and Berson should not even be on the field, he just does not have the talent. Im not asking for Steve Smith but just guys that fight and want the ball. Guys that will say YEA I CAN MAKE A PLAY.
