Formula to the Championship

A feared run game makes the pass dangerous, when called at the proper time. For god sakes, NE made Blount a household name during the playoffs! Wasn't because he was catching the deep ball

Since Blount got cut from Pittsburg his best game was against the Colts. He didn't run well against Baltimore or Seattle. Brady throwing 4 TD's put them over Baltimore and Seattle. Not Blount running the ball. If anything they used Blount to keep Seattle honest. He knew he was in for a long day.

We need a formula to continue to win the division which guarantees you a home playoff game. If you can get home field advantage and a bye you only have to win 2 games at home to get to the Super Bowl. With that said you need a great secondary to compete in this division. Lots of big receivers and pass happy teams.

Disagree. There are countless formulas to getting a championship. It's just that executing them to perfection (which is what's necessary to win it all) isn't easy. The Ravens did not have an elite secondary when they won, the Giants didn't, the Packers didn't, the Saints didn't, the Steelers didn't and that's the last 5 before the Patriots and Seahawks. Patriots and Seahawks both just happen to have great secondaries, but in New England's case that's not the key to their success or the formula...

Pittsburg has Troy Polamalu, Baltimore had ED Reed and Ladarius Webb is a really solid corner, Green Bay had Charles Woodson and very sound cover corner in Tramon Williams. Their entire secondary wasn't Seattle elite doing their runs, but they had elite players playing in the back of the defense. Of course this is not the complete or entire reason as to why they won but if you don't think their secondaries was top notch you have something else going.

Hence, why I said playoffs. I know he played an insignicant role yesterday. Brady was to busy slicing up the "elite" backfield. But make no mistake, lynch delivered the win on a silver platter. Somebody just flipped his tray as the team was fixing to eat

Or you do it the Giant's method and horde pass rushing Defensive Ends not giving opposing QBs time to rip you to shreds.

This is the only reason the Giants didn't have to have a elite secondary to win. They had D linemans coming out of the ying to get after Brady. Unless Gettleman is going to build the Panthers like that he can't afford to let Hardy walk. He is also going to have to bring in more Defensive lineman who can rush the passer.
