I'm down with Devin Smith, however, after combine and pro day he will have to be taken in first if we have any chance! I think he is this year's Brandin Cooks!

FA-

Realistically.....Crabtree and Boykins.

Britt-still to sketchy for Gman

Torrey Smith- will be overpaid but not by us

Thomas, Bryant, and Cobb-not even possible

Nicks-I think that bridge is burned

Who else does that leave as a viable no. 2?

Crabtree and with his injury in 2013, he is on the Wal-Mart shelf.

Boykin is that ST defensive x-factor we can use!

Crabtree doesn't fit the Mantra of "adding speed to the position" does he?? Being slow as hell like he is right. .

Britt-too sketchy for Dave. Dave didn't even contact him last year.

Moore-garbage and Dave knows it

Maclin-can't afford

Short-that one I give you as possible. Just had the benefit of being the only girl at the dance for awhile. Saying he is proven is a stretch.

You don't bring in Crabtree for speed. You bring him in as a sure handed WR with play making ability. What we hoped to get out of Avant and Cotchery!

We are gonna have to draft the speed if its BPA

Crabtree is not even sure handed and he's injury prone. .We already have KB a bigger better version. .

If we bring in 2 new WR'S.. 1 a free agent and the other we draft.. What would be your favorite combination...realistically please.. That mean a vet in our price range and a rookie in our draft range..

Example:

Kenny Britt and Devin Smith in the 2nd round. .

My favorite combination right now would be..

Kenny Britt and Devin Smith in the 2nd round

can't answer that until we see how these combos perform.

Ok, let's go back to value for the money. Best player for lowest dollar!

Crabtree is injury prone! That's why he will be cheap and overlooked in FA. Lets not forget, he is two years removed from a 1000yd season. He got hurt in 13 and then put up almost 700 this year playing in 15 games for the dumpster fire 49ers.

You would be getting proven (and he really is), decent character, and valid no.2 (argued his better days no.1)when healthy for chump change

I want speed like this FO has stated not a younger version of Avant and Cortch.. if the idea is to add weapons for Cam .. Than let's actually get weapons with different skill sets than we already have.. Britt is bigger and faster and Short add a new dimension to this offense. .Crabtree is meh...

I wanted Britt last year!

I told you, Short may be a possibility, but after last year FA, I see Crabtree fitting the Dave mold.

Look, Crabtree may be "slow" but he gets separation and can attack the ball. We went after the speed concept so hard, because Avant and Cotchery struggled with getting separation, we could only win the battle by taking the top off. Philly can do that job if no viable options are found, but we needs another proven WR for no.2 spot.

Truthfully we need,

#1WR-Deshaun Jackson type speedy playmaker

#2WR-Kelvin Benjiman

#3WR- sure handed that creates separation across the middle

#4WR-Cotchery

#5WR-Philly Brown

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
