Non-OTs or WRs we could target in the 1st

Outside of the obvious two Safeties, another guy I think we could look at is Arik Armstead if we truly have no intention of bringing Hardy back.  NFL.com lists him as a DT, but I think he could get leaner and play DE for us.  6'8 290 is what he's listed at now, think I read somewhere he was playing in college at 285.  I think he's being talked about as a potential first round guy, could be there when we pick and seems he'd be versatile enough to fill part of Hardy's roles (run stopper, could offer some pass rush, move inside on passing downs).  If we're looking at a DL in the first, I hope it's this guy.  I don't buy that we need another DT right now, not a 1st round pick on one anyway.  A big DE that has the tools to dominate?  Yes please.

CB: If Jalen Collins falls, yes please.  Quentin Rollins could be a reach but a possibility.

SS: Shaq Thompson, yes please.  Seems to be a dropoff after Landon and Shaq at SS.

There's also a sleeper for us at OLB that would fit perfectly with TD and Luke ---that's Paul Dawson

Armstead seems like a guy Arians would go after for his defense, I wouldn't be mad though.  I don't know about their 1st round value but Carl Davis and Xavier Cooper at DT would be some guys to take note of that could fill D'wan's role.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
