Even though general manager Dave Gettleman was adamant about taking the best player available, the Panthers can’t go another season with what they’ve got at offensive tackle. Peat has good size and athleticism to stick at left tackle and should only continue adding strength in the run game.

I would be pissed if we took a corner in the 1st.  Our pass defense isn't a strength for us, but it sure as hell isn't as bad as our pass protection.  OT should be a must in the 1st, unless there are not OT's worth taking, then we have to go for BPA.  If we end up doing BPA in the 1st, I would much rather go after a d-linemen or LB than the secondary, considering the secondary is fairly deep this year, just like RB's and WR's.  D-line, not so much.

agreed.  Pass rushers are at a premium this year.  I've been running the mock simulator

about a thousand times now, and once thing is clear...this draft is deep in WR, OT and Corner.

Very deep at WR and Corner.   If we don't take a tackle in the first, I'm thinking it will be a DE

or OLB, and I'm fine with that.  Knowing Getty, it could even be a DT, which I'm less on board with;

I would be displeased too, unless it is Waynes. Doubt he falls that far, I mean, did you guys see his 4.32 today? Kid can flat out fly and is smooth. Yes please.
