After last years house cleaning, everyone, including the players, thought carolina would not be a good team.  Luke himself said as much to Thomas Davis.  Gettlemen was being laughed at for wiping out the receiving corp.  This off season is different.  The general consensus from what I have read across different websites and reported from the mainstream media is that Carolina will be good next year and most likely three-peat as NFCS champions.  Free agency hasn't even started yet and already Carolina is being touted as a team to beat next season.  You know, I like this.  This team can only get better from here on out.  I'm getting that super bowl tingle and its a great tingle.

Don't we all love the offseason?

 

I will say, I'm very hopeful for 2015 more so than any other season.  Cam's getting better (I'm not worried about him being resigned, it will happen).  Our young guys have more experience.  We have a few holes (OK, still the glaring LT hole), but we bring back a lot of our main contributors back.  We finished well, even with the 2nd half shalacking we got in Seattle.  Gettleman will get a LT for us and he will add more talent.  I think our coaches are better than we give them credit for considering what this team has achieved in the past two seasons.

 

I hope we can enjoy a fun and successful year!

      Bingo. The dude is a baller no doubt and I'd love to have him in a vacuum but like you said he's gonna fetch a haul so the only teams it really makes sense for are teams with an overall good roster who they feel an edge rusher like Crosby would out them over the top in terms of competing for SBs. I'd be looking st teams like the Pats, Bucs, Ravens, Seahawks, etc. It wouldn't be shocking to see him moved. He may be more valuable to a rebuilding team in the form of the draft assets he'd fetch than he is on the field. He should still have several more good years in the tank at 28 but by the time the Raiders can reasonably expect to rebuild he's gonna be on the decline.

      Crosby will garner a haul in a trade. I would be reluctant to make that trade because of the following: 1. Our overall roster is awful. We cannot afford to be trading away valuable draft capital. 2. He isn't the best fit(IMO) for the scheme that Evero runs.  I love the player but it would really need to be at a reasonable deal and I think he is likely to garner an unreasonable price if he gets traded.

      In terms of need, EDGE is currently #1. Our pass rush is near league worst levels. However, I don't subscribe to "need" based drafting. BPA all day.  We do need to dramatically upgrade over Scourton, Jones, Wonnum and Umanmielen. That is likely in the running for the NFL's worst two deep. Not saying all those players are bad, but I am saying 100% of those players are 2nd or 3rd stringers.
