Here's the real question with the Jimmay: if rumor is true that Max Unger failed his physical, what will Taints do? bring the Jimmay back OR send the Seahawks someone else or more picks to keep the Jimmay in Seattle?

Hmmm......

So I guess the Saints plan is to use both their first rounders to replace Graham and Grubbs, nevermind that the defense is still horrible, their best DB wants out, Brees is aging and their best wide receiver is Kenny Stills.

Reminds me of last year when they traded Darren Sproles for a late round pick then used a 1st and 3rd to move up and get a guy to replace him.

My poo that turned out to be true? The re-structures and cuts happened. Think they'd be happening if Breesus and Keenan would agree to re-structure? Those bridges are burning along with your team. Is it my fault that you aren't in the loop?

Admit I didn't see the big trade happen, but who did until the dust settled?

Can't wait for Browner to be a Taint. Whenever we have a 3rd and long, we'll dial him up for a pass interference call every time.

"get under the salary cap that doesn't exist"

Lol they got under the salary cap ages ago and have been connected to numerous top flight free agents since.

The fact that you say this (and that it clearly bothers you so much lol) shows just how strongly intertwined the "cap" is to the posters of this board, that they can't conceive of an nfl team making roster moves without focusing in the THE ALL POWERFUL SALARY CAP.

Proper NFL teams don't work that way.

This is a rebuild, not some half mangled attempt to appeal to the Mighty Cap Authorities which the Huddles knows and fears so fiercely.

Edit: I think I'll post that article of that NFL cap expert and former Packers VP calling that salary cap a myth just to watch you squirm and squeal. It's pleasing to me.

What is absolutely baffling to me, is that this was a 7-9 team. Before all of this started, many here claimed the team was void of talent. But as soon as they cut a guy or trade an overpaid guard, hahahahaha cap hell!

This is a team cutting players that aren't worth the money and trying to improve. They've cleared almost $40 million in cap space for next year. The only move I don't agree with so far is the Graham trade. But, Loomis meant it when he said everyone is available.

"get under the salary cap that doesn't exist"

The worst part is that by making some straw grab attempt at trying to connect this to the salary cap you rob yourself of the not of what is actually happening.

This firesale started in the opening moments of our blowout again New Orleans, where sean payton, in it's wake, was open about how humiliated he was with the players on his roster in their effort and in their performance and began making roster changes in the following hours. That game against us,me here we dominated in every capacity and forced their players to simply give up, is sending New Orleans into a downward tail spiral that make take years to recover for. That game could end up being like the 03 X-Clown game that sent St. Louis in obscurity for the next decade, and we'll get to revel in it.

But you'd rather rob yourself of that to make a (rather poor, given the surrounding details) whiney argument against all the posters who rustle your jimmies? Lol. Enjoy life, bro.

hey saints fan since you're not completely insane like growl could you answer this question for me:

what is the point of having a fire sale and gutting the roster if cap ramifications aren't being considered

A fire sale goes way being cap ramifications. The Sains are well, well under the cap for next year. This is the last year they're even close. There was a lot of talk about how management and coaching was unhappy with the players immaturity levels last year. Payton and Loomis were very upset.

This may be the beginning of a complete rebuild.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
