Beason Critical Of Panthers From Sidelines

Quick, Beason! Come read this forum! You'll soon learn you're a DAMN FOOL for even thinking one tiny bit that the team doesn't look good right now! It's pre-season you dumb moron!

/sarcasm

D. Lewis also. He said they have miles to improve on defense? If he came on here he would be informed it was just preseason and his doom and gloom talk about preseason just shows his lack of knowledge of the game

no one is denying that the panthers aren't playing well. the poor tackling is pretty obvious.

what people are denying is that the season is a lost cause because they haven't been playing well in preseason.

it is just preseason, though. people are holding back and are still able to improve. there is still a couple weeks before a 16+ week season begins.

they know what the problems is and it is fixable. no one is giving up on it.....no one, that is, except for the chicken little's out there saying the sky is falling. that one was for you, RB. ha ha

That D-Lew, what a silly willy. I mean, we all know neither team was even trying at all or running any schemes of any sort. And screw tackling, you may get a boo boo. The Ravens O-Line actually told Brayton to sack Flacco because Flacco wanted some dirt on his jersey. And god, Flacco's pre-season performance was such a snoozer. Maybe he'll put up better numbers in the regular season. Too bad they don't play us though. We'd have 56 sacks on him and keep him to -9 yds passing.

does everyone still think we are hiding something? that we are saving ourselves for the regular season not wanting to reveal our super special awesome defense? some are claiming that. these people just refuse to accept the reality of the situation and are living on wishful thinking. face it, our defense began to collapse towards the end of last season and has gotten worse. injuries or whatever reason doesn't matter, if we continue to play soft, and "bend but not break" we will just continue to bend all the way down the field. we get no or rare pressure and usually aren't within 4-5 yards of receivers when they catch the ball. label me gloom and doom, but if you can't see that our defense is in dire shape, then you obviously just don't pay attention to the games and live in a fantasy world full of gum drops and lollipops. willy wonka doesn't coach our team, john fox does and his golden ticket should be revoked!

    • Yards a game works better over a longer period of time as well. Averages always work out over the long run. The smaller the sample size the easier it is to skew. Also opponents matter more when the size is small. Player 1 lights up 2 bad defenses in 4 starts vs Player 2 playing 10 games vs multiple defenses. It hard to make it apples to apples how it currently sits. Remember during Bryce’s little run last year how annoyed you were when people were pulling Bryce’s starts from week 9 on vs the whole season.
    • Someone else claimed I said EVERY.  Literally in my post breaking it down it gave Bryce TDs per game.   Shough however has the majority in his favor if just looking at starts. whats subjective about comp %, yards, QB ratings and turnovers?  Now I guess the argument one might make off them could be subjective.  But all I’m saying is statistically as a starter he has been better this year overall.  I don’t think Shough is great.  I think he is impressive based on the situation.  2nd rounder stepping in on a bad team.   And he like so many other QBs…..serves as little red flag going off about what we are doing here offensively.
    • Player A - 2 starts.  200 yards in each start. He averages 200 yards a game.  Player B - 1 start.  Throws for 400 yards.  Comes in another random game and has 1 pass attempt on a Hail Mary to end the game that goes incomplete.   Now given the random game he appeared for a snap, he averages 200 yards a game. Thats why you isolate starts. If you are talking starter vs someone who began as a backup.  Simple made up numbers/situations to illustrate the point.
